Something not right?

Description

Beautiful section of the Rosevelt NF. Seems like a good amount of sites. We walked farther down the road after picking this spot, and found a few more spots with more tree cover. High clearance isn’t necessary, but big rigs might have a hard time coming down a hill. FREE

Great spot! beautiful views of the mountains and meadows. There are lots of spots along this road, we found this to be the best flat spot with great views and privacy. There is potable water just down the road. The road in is bumpy but doable if you take it slow, we were glad we arrived early (4pm) as quite a few people came closer to dusk looking for a spot.

Report Check-In

Forest road with a ton of established sites, most of which with fire rings. Definitely recommend arriving during the week, the close proximity to Denver/Boulder means high demand during the weekend. Road gets more challenging the further you go, AWD/4WD and high clearance recommend for the deep sites. Rarely Verizon 4G, plenty of sky for solar and Starlink.

We stayed here 4 weeks. This is a forest service road. Definitely off grid dry camping. About 5 miles to Nederland. Lots of traffic during the day. Very quiet at night. We felt very safe here. We would stay here again. We went off the main road approximately ¼ mile. The road continues about 2 miles. Not recommended for large RV’s unless high clearance.

FYI - On Verizon and t-mobile, there is enough signal for text and MAYBE a phone call. Even with booster and LTE external antenna, not enough signal if you’re a digital nomad looking to work.

Great spot! Very beautiful and secluded. Lots of places to pull off and camp. Great views all around.

This was an amazing dispersed campground with great views. Several people camping would say come earlier to get a good spot. Didn’t need any special clearance to get here either. Pretty good 5GE AT&T service
