Something not right?

Description

Large parking, lots of hiking, no signs forbidding overnight. There are some signs saying you have to have a permit to be parked here and that the permit is sold in fishing shops and other admin places (you can find more details on gov.mb.ca but can't purchase it online). No one bothered is. Quiet, the trains pass quite far, lots of people on weekends for picnics. There is a toilet and a bin.

Nice spot, good little walk in the morning if you fancy. Pretty dark, couple of lights for the car park but not super bright.

Toilets still open, although not the most pleasant.

Faint train noise but nothing too disruptive.

Provincial Park - Day use / large Parking lot with outhouse. Quiet!

Report Check-In

Nice quiet place. Most of the gravel road can be bypassed by detouring through the residential area (see google map). An employee came to clean the bathrooms around 7h30 am and did not bother us.
Safe place close to Winnipeg.

Stayed here for a beautiful evening and night. The park is big with lots of parking spaces. No problems even if we didn't have a permit. Lots of trails and near the river. There was just another skoolie in the area. Employees came in between 7 and 8 but didn't bother us. Would recommend.

Report Check-In

Long gravel bumpy road to reach but worth it. Made it with a 40ft skoolie. Probably the best escape from the city of Winnipeg you can get if you want to feel safe and be away from the noise and people. Huge parking lot with trails and river. Lots of locals come and walk their dog. Safe neighborhood around. Agriculture area. The stars were beautiful and we slept like babies.

Report Check-In

Description good. Unable to but ticket online. Still lot mosquitos and big. Small parking really quiet

Report Check-In

As described, very quiet , good cellular reception, lots of mosquitoes night and day

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

As described. Clean toilets with good smelling sanitizer. Another car was in the small parking lot a little not far from the big one, otherwise we had this place for ourselves. No one checked the extra licence.

Report Check-In

We also stayed at the small parking space, before the big one. Some cars passed by, no one asked us to leave. A lot of trains pass through and you can clearly hear them. Don't know what is up with the little forest next to the parking lot, but there were at least 2 dear carcass, a cross for a dog and somebody dumped his dead cat in a blanket.

Report Check-In

Large parking lot, dry toilet and garbage can nearby. Cross-country skiing trails and hiking trails close. Quiet.

Report Check-In

Amazing place, dark and quiet (we can heard the train a bit during the night).
We choose to park the van on the little parking before the principal parking. We were alone et it was worth it because a lot of people on the principal parking, especially during the week end. There is a table on the little parking spot. Nobody ask us for a specific permit. We don’t see the gardian. I think they don’t care :-).

Great stay here, lots of trees and not that many people. The drive in is a bit rough but it’s worth it

Report Check-In

We are there right now, arrived on friday, it is a bit noisy later (around midnight) young adult come here in the middle of the night with their loud music and makes « donuts » in the gravel .. close to our rig and truck… did not sleep well at all, not to good of a spot.

Report Check-In

Good place to park overnight in the middle of nowhere next to a river!
Quiet but busy in the morning
Take the first parking next to the river, better spot. Toilets close in the big parking like 3 minutes by walk.
Be careful, the road 241 and 247 are in gravel and 1 km before arriving in the park.

Report Check-In

Quiet park. Ranger came in the morning and didn't tell us anything. Overnight parking isn't prohibited but there's a no camping sign. Cellphone coverage good with Rogers and Telus. We were the only ones parked there. Gravel road to get to the park.

Report Check-In

From Winnipeg. We often go walk our dog in this park. Need a park permit to access with vehicle. There is a sign for no tents but not for overnight parking. Parked in the spot on the right by the river before the big parking area. Level, fire pit, picnic table and garbage/recycling right there. Fairly quiet but you can hear the train in the distance. Popular place for locals. Lots of hiking and bike trails.

Report Check-In
