Stayed at the parking lot of Wonder View overnight and had a quiet night. No one bothered us, Police drove by once but didn't even check.

Enough grass to pitch a tent, but you're not right next to the view so it's kind of just like camping in a car park. Very quiet though - not a single car came past on the road until the first (very friendly) souvenir sellers arrived at 7.40. If you wake up early enough the view of sunrise is amazing.
There is some flat looking grass on the other side of the road from here, with a much better view. I didn't check it out as it was late, but it is a more beautiful spot. Worth a look.
Very quiet and save overnight parking at the paved Wonder View Lookout. No traffic or people. Nice view down into the Lowveld.
