The office in Panga is closed. Don’t know if temporary or permanent. If you want to organise some official tours in the park go to the office in Tchibanga.
However taking the paved road from Panga to Mougagara is definitely a great trip to watch animals for free. We saw several elephants during the evening around sunset. There are also some places to stay close to the road to spend a night.
Report Check-InOne easy option to visit the parc without paying any fees. just drive to the little village in Panga and ask the parc rangers if they can help you to spot some animals. They took us to the beautiful beach of Panga, but unfortunately we were not allowed to camp there since it is too risky to be attacked by hippos or elephants during nighttime. also possible to spot turtles within the right season. we saw forest elephants, red river hogs and black colobus monkeys during our stay there. you can also drive on your own since the newly made road is not officially in the parc. camping is possible for free at the parc office or in Moungangara.
Don't expect too much wildlife since the surrounding forest is quite dense. However, it's for free ;)
