Trail Angel
A funny, corky, generous person. We had a great time with Raquel; a really great time. We camped 5 nights at Raquel’s Ark. There is a nice grassy area to set up your tent. She lets you borrow a mat she has to help insulate yourself from the ground. Breakfast is included and it’s delicious (and huge). You can choose between eggs, waffles or creme brûlée French toast. She serves it with coffee and fruit. The breakfast alone is worth the $10 camping fee. Outside the house, next to the grassy area is a bathroom with a sink, toilet and bathtub and HOT water. There is also a nice seating area outside so you have everything you need to be comfortable. Water on the property is run through a purification process so water is drinkable. Parking available. Safe location since the property is walled and the gate is locked at night.
We give Raquel two thumbs up, highly recommended. It was an adventure.
