👍🏻👍🏻facile d'accès pour une roulotte. terrain en gravel assez droit.
à l'arrière du stationnement dee jour (rest area)

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Camping in back but sand hills. Nice area with washrooms.

Report Check-In

Endroit pour une nuit près de la route mais un peu dans la forêt juste en arrière de la rest area qui a des toilettes et tables de pique-nique

Report Check-In

Stayed there for the night, right behind the rest area. Space for multiple cars (a van was there as well), no problems. A lot of mosquitos though.

Report Check-In

Beau spot . Quelques locals passent dans le rue et regarde mais personne n’est venu nous déranger . Bruit de l’autoroute mais on s’en fou c’est gratuit !

Report Check-In

easy place to pull off the road. one RV was already there. spots for a few vehicles. we didn't want to be visible from road, so we parked on a little drive leading to a clearing. restroom functional, but there is hand sanitizer instead of a sink. some road noise, but not too bad.

Report Check-In

Slept here in my truck last night. Enough room to set up a tent. Looks out over the rest stop(which you can’t see). Nobody bothered me. Can still here the highway as it’s not too far.

Report Check-In

beautiful quiet spot on lake. big enough for an rv under 30'. There are two spots here about 200 yards apart. road in was good gravel.

Report Check-In

Great quiet spot in the fields of sand lake rd.

Report Check-In

great spot just behind the washrooms, go up the road an its on the right past the roundabout overlooking the toilets. Also, lots of wild blueberries if you're here in July!

Report Check-In

this looked like the perfect spot until the mosquitoes came out. I have never seen so many vicious and persistant mosquitoes. They manage to find all the little cracks in her trailer coming in through the AC, it was nightmarish. we ended up moving around 11pm to another spot after killing about 80 of them and realizing that they would probably find a way through our mosquito screen once we crack the window open for air flow. be warned!

Report Check-In

Nice dirt road, not a single car passed in the night!

Report Check-In

Evenings are noisy: trains (real loud and close), and highway traffic. But overnight, it dies down and we slept real well! Lots of space but a lot of left overs from previous visitors (toilet paper, cans and water bottles). We still enjoyed the area! The bathrooms at the rest area nearby are a big plus after the morning coffee…

Report Check-In

Nice spot! rest spot says no overnight parking, with a gate. BUT there is a large gravel turn around right beside the rest stop with no gate, or signage. Stayed there with no problems (with truck and trailer). Sand pit in the pics are behind both spots i mentioned, i wouldnt try it with a truck/trailer because the sand is very thick

Report Check-In

saw the gravel pit that people are mentioning staying at, it was raining today and it looked very soft. didn’t want to risk getting stuck so opted to stay at the other gravel pit thats across from the picnic area. it’s closer to the highway and definitely less private. nothing special but nice to have the washroom facility so close. small grassy area attached to where we stayed, could possibly tent. plenty of space. 2 bars with telus.

Report Check-In

Took the road behind the rest stop. saw another RV on the trail, went a bit further and found my own nice spot. Quiet, some road noise with windows open but not much. we were closer to the road but can go further away also.

Report Check-In

Awesome little spot! noone here but us. back off the highway enough to sleep n private.

Report Check-In

Got here around midnight and there was already a van in one of the gravel pullouts. But there was a different roundabout that had space for my large Van. No issues sleeping at night and the restrooms in the nearby rest stop was nice to use in the morning

Report Check-In

cute spot. i missed it on the first pass. went around the loop twice after scouting to be sure not to block passage but got blocked by a van. Had to wait for them to wake up and leave before I could pull trough. No possible way to back a trailer trough this trail. People think of your neighbours PLEASE.

Report Check-In

Stopped for a break nice rest area for the kids to play

Report Check-In

The picnic area is closed from 11pm to 5am. We stayed on the other side of the road there is large gravel parking without any signage. Few camper where already at the exact coordinates of this posted location.
Calm night.

Report Check-In

Large sand pits, there a few spots to camp. Wild blueberries were all over so lots of people there picking them. Otherwise fairly quiet.

Report Check-In

Solid area for the night - tucked off the highway. Picked a few blueberries to go with our cereal.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot, picturesque, lots of blueberries!
Note that there is another suitable area about a km up the Sand Bay road which is a bit further from the highway

Report Check-In

As below settled in for the night in the Sandy area above the rest site, very little road noise and a couple of trains. Should have spent more time trying to level our B, but we slept well!

Report Check-In

Signs for the picnic day use area no camping, but on the gravel pit beside, or sand pit behind, no sign? Others were staying too. Good for a night. Close to highway. Bathroom facility, tons of garbage bins, lots of picnic tables

Report Check-In

We stop for day use only. We noticed that there is electricity and water connection outside of the washrooms.

Report Check-In

Be very careful !!! I stayed stuck in the deep sand and needed AAA ou CAA to pull me out!!!

Report Check-In

As noted, up the road past the turn into the picnic area and washrooms,a nice circle road with a few spots to park. The blueberries are gone but still a nice spot.

Report Check-In

There's a sign by the washroom at the front saying no parking/camping. There's quite a few people parked in the back area behind it but I decided not to stay the night

Report Check-In

A nice spot with several spots to choose from. There was some train and highway noise but generally quiet. And, there are blueberries to pick!
