Latest Check-Ins

We stayed on a spot on the way up rd 1575. Road is steep and narrow but in good condition. We came up in a 27’ sprinter at about 11:30 pm so we were a little hesitant to go all the way to the clearing. Good spot, would come again.

Report Check-In

Great spot to camp or boondock, cute little no trespassing sign right near the campsite, but you just toe the line with the firepit :)

Report Check-In

Boat ramp on the right (we had our boat in tow). decided to pull over and sleep for the night

Report Check-In

stayed here for a few days with no problems. road is rutted in spots but had no problems in our promaster. room for a few vehicles. full service with Verizon and Google fi to work and take zoom meetings. where we parked had no shade but would stay again!

Report Check-In

wide spot on the road with a fire ring. the other spots on the road are better but they were taken. 2 cars drove by all night. it's quiet flat and a good alternative.

Report Check-In

Great level pullout for a few vehicles. Was pretty clean. Shared the spot with another van. Great spot for a quick overnight stay. Didn’t need 4x4 but there are some ruts and uneven parts of the fireroad.

Report Check-In

Good spot. I picked up some trash from previous campers, but not too bad.

Someone left a bunch of logs in the middle of the pull out, but still enough room for a couple vans or a few cars. If you have means to split them, would make great firewood.

I ended up sharing this spot with another car since my bus wouldn’t fit back where the fire ring is and a van parked across the road in another spot later in the evening.

Road on the way up was a little rough. Several large potholes and rutted in areas. Go slowly. Made it fine in my 20 ft short bus.

I would not recommend anything much larger than 20ish ft.

2-3 bars of T-Mobile so could knock out some work!

Report Check-In

The spot is nice but not as special that I would drive up this nightmare of a road again. I have mid clearance and drove extremely carefully and touched the ground twice going up and down again. there are sharp rocks, big and loose rocks, holes, Canyons, deer and low branches as well as fallen trees
quiet and great stars though

Report Check-In

Nice flat spot with a cute little rock ring for a fire. Circular tree area good spots to put a hammock. Close to some hiking trails we've had 6/7 people hike up here in a span of a 1/2 to 2 hours. Haven't seen any cars yet will update when we leave.

Report Check-In

Not a site I would recommend. Parking is essentially on a road. Lots of used toilet paper and other garbage left by others. No view of the lake at the site. The road is doable, but not great. Stayed one night and moved on. One positive: cell service with T-Mobile and Verizon was good.

Report Check-In

quiet location. few vehicles so far. likely others looking to get in here. it seems to be a popular spot. saw some hikers yesterday that came up a trail next to the site. otherwise I've not seen many people.

Report Check-In

Camping at turning point up 3/4 way up the hill. Room for a few vehicles. The road has some ruts but smooth, not super difficult. Another site about a mile before this one - which probably better. Good cell signal. Trail either up or downwards from this point.

Report Check-In

Top of the ridge there is a wide turn out big enough for two rigs with trailers under 15 feet, rough road up doable with 2wd in the dry 4wd if wet, we went to the first place and there was somebody so we went farther

Bonus right up a little hill, no trailer no car but truck or suv is a hidden site somebody else was in

Report Check-In

I wasn't able to find this place.

Report Check-In

Up a dirt track, 2wd is fine.
At this point you can camp or turn around.
Beyond here the road gets tighter for bigger rigs to turn around. Have 4G verison reception here. This point is also top a scenic trail about 4.5miles round trip. The trail starts at the bottom of highway before you enter National Forrest road.

Report Check-In

A turn around area and places to camp.
The road beyond get a bit tighter.
This area is top of scenic trail that starts down bottom of the road.
A few fire rings.
Spent two nights here ok.
Ok internet reception here 4g.in verison.

Report Check-In

Ok for one night. Exactly on the side of the road. was a little wary of camping here in the case someone came too fast on the bend.

Report Check-In

Good spot for one night. Flat. Views not great. Just okay.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot. It's very sad to see trash laying around (c'mon guys burry your poop and toilet paper). Other than that, it's a great spot. Unfortunately, I had to bail just before the night because of a severe thunderstorm.
