Report Check-In

Stayed one quiet night. It can be a little busy during the day and evenings, but it quieted down nicely.
No reception with Google Fi in the parking lot, but I found a little if I wandered nearby

Report Check-In

Small parking lot beside a river. Stayed only one night. There are porta potties and a small water fill station. About two bars of service, can be finicky but works great! Lots of foot traffic between campers and hikers. Is quite at night though! We did not have a permit which I saw some reviews stating and had no issues.

Report Check-In

Quiet small parking lot beside river. A couple of nights spent. No problem. A lot of locals walk on the riverbank.

Report Check-In

nice quiet little campground with five spots for hiker/biker. there's a small parking lot with plenty of space for cars fans and small rvs. Not a great turning radius in there though.

Report Check-In

We slept in our car. Parking lots and campsites were full but it was quite and we felt safe.

Report Check-In

Completely legal to overnight park. SMALL lot will fit vans only or very small C’s. Narrow road it 1.5 vehicles wide with small occasional pull-outs. Really nice sounds of water running through lock.

Report Check-In

Formally known as the Swains Lot Hiker Biker campground. Gravel parking lot, porta potties, river access, gravel bike trail.

Not sure if overnight RV parking is legit, but there are plenty of tent campers, so one more vehicle attracts no attention.

Report Check-In

There is a sign saying no overnight parking without a permit, and I wasn't sure how to obtain a permit, so didn't try it. Instead went a couple minutes up the road to Pennyfield lock.

Report Check-In

Nice small gravel parking lot very close to tent sites. We were warned by a volunteer patrolman that this spot gets very busy with locals & fisherman, and likely wouldn’t be the best for an overnight in an rv... he suggested the main parking at the tavern visitor center so we headed there. Otherwise on a slow night this place would be perfect! Lots of people park here to camp
