Small provincial park, S of Squamish. About 45 sites... and also walk in sites. Many sites on the water. We paid Senior rates which were $33. shoulder season. Winter rates (November to March-ish excl holidays) are about $28 including power hookups without discount. All the sites except the walk-in tenting sites have power. The walk-in tent-sites have access to a covered community kitchen area with electrical outlets so gizmos can be charged there.
Open year round. Potable water year round. Sani-dump and showers closed in the winter.
This is a popular park for SCUBA divers - there's ship wrecks to explore here. Arrr!

Parking lot, great view. Marked as no overnight camping, park officers drove by 2-3 times to show their presence, but no enforcement. ~15 vehicles stayed overnight. lots of movement and passers by and there is highway noise through the evening, but all went quiet about midnight. An amazing view to wake up to.
Washroom open all night.
Great place for winter camping, the Sami dump seems to be open in the winter if there aren’t freezing temp at urea, though it’s $5 for campers as well. Waterfront sites are absolutely wonderful views
Report Check-InWe would like to start our Camping-Trip from Vancouver through the rocky mountains with a first stop at porteau cove prov park.
Thank you

Well maintained campground! Winter rates are too good to pass up and all sites include electric. Definitely worth the stopover on our Canadian ski trip.
Report Check-InThe first half of this campground is open year round and all sites (except walk-in) have 15A/30A power hookups. The walk-in area has a common kitchen facility with electrical outlets that can charge phones.
During the winter the showers and flush toilets in the campground are closed but there is a pit toilet in the campground and flush toilets back at the day use area. Potable water is available year round in the campground. The Sani-Dump is also closed in the winter despite what the website might imply.
This campground is pretty busy and booked out every summer, but not busy at all in the winter. There's also a couple of cabins here for rent if you need a night away from the tent or van.
The campground is sandwiched in between the ocean (nice!) and the railway (doh!) which also has a quarry on the far side of it. I've stayed here a few times and it seems like there's a 12:30am train most nights and then that's about it for noise until morning when the quarry started up. It's just far enough from the highway to not hear noise from that.
