Description

Part of the Lolo National Forest. Great campground on the Clark Fork River. There are three loops which all have about 20-25 sites. Loop A has about six pull through sites for larger RV’s. There is potable water/dump/non potable water stations at Loop C and Loop G. Unfortunately the campground is on the freeway but not too loud at night. Loops A&C are on the westbound side of freeway and Loop G is on the eastbound side of freeway. Access to campground is through the rest areas on both sides of the freeway. There is a tunnel under the freeway so you access any loop from both westbound and eastbound sides.
Price is $15 night and half off for Interagency Pass Holders. Biggest issue with this place is train noise in G Loop (eastbound side).
They also allow free day use of the campground if you just needed to rest during day. Overall a great place for an overnight stop or a few days. They also have a short interpretive hiking trail where you can access the river at Loop C. Dog friendly. Free firewood for overnight campers.

Ver quiet on a Saturday night. Bathrooms were impeccable. Stayed in Loop G site 1. Arrived after midnight, lots of spots available. Read the board in the am, says even #ed sites on Loop G should be reserved online. I guess we lucked out picking an even number? But I don’t think we would have had an issue either way.

Camping access through both rest stops, east and west, I 90 in a national forest. RV dump station, water on site and bathrooms. No showers. Dry camping. $15 a night +5 dollars for additional car. $7.50 with inter-agency pass. Free picnic area. Verizon, T-Mobile 3 to 4 bars.

Great campsite to stay overnight. Exit I-90 at the rest area (no sign prior to exiting that mentions a campground) and follow the sign behind the rest area. Loop A has vault toilets (extremely clean) and Loop C has a flush toilet restroom with a sink and mirror. There are half first come, first serve (odd number campsites) and half reservable on recreation.gov (even numbers). Fire wood is free from the camp hosts. The camp hosts are great and even delivered the fire wood to our site. Cost is $15 per night. You can reserve the day of or earlier on reservation.gov. Reservation.gov provides very little details about the site. We never found out if there is a check in or check out time but very few sites were in use and a reservation likely wasn't necessary. We chose one closer to the river and further from the freeway. You could hear the cars on the I-90 but it didn't bother us. There is a train nearby but we only heard it 1x around 10pm. There are back-in and pull-thru sites. The back in was large enough for our car and 13' travel trailer with room to spare (you can find exact lengths and widths online). Pet friendly. There is a trail that you can take down to the river in Loop C.

Nice little stop. There is a dump that is free for campers or $15 for non campers. Potable water and water at the dump site to clean tanks. It is $15 a night now. The camp host was very nice and even gave us some firewood. When you exit the freeway the rest stop is under construction so it looks the off ramp is closed but they have signs pointing in the direction of the campground.

Great campround right off the freeway (freeway noise) but out toilets are clean (We are in A Loop). Some sites reserved for online only reservations but plenty of first-come sites. Camp host is very friendly and walking distance to river. Rest area is closed and under construction but you still take the rest stop off ramp and go through construction site. It's clearly marked to get to campground. Price went up to $15/night (1/2 price with pass) and includes 5 sticks of firewood. Great picnic tables and fire pits. You can also stop and rest/picnic at no cost.
Verizon has 3 bars.
Self pay.
I highly recommend!

Very nice area. Loop on eastbound side was closed but used tunnel at north end of it to drive to southbound side & camped there. Free firewood (5pieces) $10. Cooked dinner on fire pit w/grate. Will stay here again when passing through. Can’t get to Clark Fork River but can see it.

East bound campground is closed. Have to use tunnel to access west bound area. If you go to east side you will have to continue east bound to turn around if you have a big rig.

clean FS campsite right in the I90, some road noise but the trees do a good job of muffling it. we stopped here for a picknick lunch but wouldn't hesitate to camp here

nice and quiet campground for $10. 👍 if you use your GPS, there's no clear exit to get here so make sure you exit at the sign marked "rest area" to get to the campsite entrance.

Great place to stop for a night; it was easy to find a pull-through at 8:30 on a Friday night in August. As mentioned, a bit of road noise but not too bad inside a camper. We would definitely stop here again. Sites are well-spaced, and it’s otherwise quiet.

nice treed campground off the exit attached to a rest area. We stopped on a beautiful Saturday night and were one of 3 sites in use. $10 cash a night with free fire wood and pit toilets. Worth it over the rest area right next to the interstate. You can still here the road, but it is not a nuisance. Rest area has running water when needed.

Price is $10/night and half off for Interagency Pass Holders. Very easy to get a site. Biggest issues with this place other then being close to freeway is that it is not used very often and grass and plants are growing in the sites.
They also allow free day use of the campground if you just needed to rest during day. Overall a great place for a overnight stop or a few days. They also have a short interpretive hiking trail where you can access the river as well at Loop C. Dog friendly as well. Free firewood for overnight campers.
