Turn off to other road with pull out. No shade but beautiful views of surrounding cliffs both red and grays. We have national parks pass, but no idea if parking in Grand Staircase Escalante NM is legal. Others were camped a short distance away on other side of cottonwood and as located here in the app.

Nice blm area right off the road one mile from the end of the pavement.
Report Check-InArrived super late in the evening—scary to navigate to in the dark, especially with the unpaved road that was slippery from the rain. But woke up to stunning views of the cliffs and a beautiful drive back. Very quiet, no shade in pretty large space, 1 fire pit, no one else was there with me.
Report Check-Inroad to governor arch has recently been graded. great views. no signal- verizon. super close to Kodachrome sp. I used the laundromat in the park which was very clean and good rates (of course you have to pay the day use fee, but if you are going to anyway it is good option)
Report Check-In2km from Kodachrome State Park on unpaved road (impassible if wet), nice place also for big rigs next to the quite road
