Really nice free place to camp. The gas station up the road was very friendly too. Agree with the other poster about the ticks (pulled three off my tent) and will add that there are raccoons around and very active. I had some sneak up on me while I was writing an email and they were probably 3 feet away (mom and two cubs). So use a hang bag or canister or similar if tent camping.

Stayed at one of the 8 spots near the pit toilets. 1 other camper when we arrived at 9pm. Super clean and quiet, lots of deer and bugs though.

we stayed at the small primitive camping area. there were three other campers besides us. it was quiet and very peaceful. it was a wonderful place to spend the night away from the interstate. you could even spend two nights and hike some of the trails in the conservation area.

I got in at 10pm and there was one other camper at the end of the road (no cell service on verizon). I came back up to the main spots.

It’s super quiet other than the calm (this time of year) cicadas and coyotes (in the distance this evening). There’s no highway noise, and I seem to be alone this evening. Awesome spot with a bathroom and firepits. Definitely marking for future stops.

We stayed in the campsite for one night on a Monday night. Very beautiful and quiet. There was a tent camper and a camper can there when we got there and they were still there when we left around 11:00 am. An other car with a hunter came and was gone by the time we were up in the morning. A few cars drove in and went farther down the road towards the parking lot. There was a dog barking from down the road I. The middle of the night but besides that was quiet. We found a few ticks. The pit toilet isn’t enclosed and has a gate for a door as well as no lid for the toilet and it was covered in flies so we decided not to use it. Was a great free site not too far from the highway. The area was beautiful.

Stayed at the area on the lower arm branch, nice and quiet area. Some cool spots to explore along the creekbed. Not ideal during peak tick season. Pulled at least 50+ off me and my dog in one afternoon

Seven or eight gravel spots in a nice forested conservation area. There is a pit toilet, clean enough. One large RV was there when we arrived, with a generator. A Jeep pulled in after and setup a tent. The overnight rain had them pack up pretty early. We enjoyed the spot, glad we ventured off the freeway.

Stayed here two nights to welcome in 70 degree days on December 1st! Only two other local cars the whole time we were here. Hiking, bird watching and sunshine. It’s good here! 2 bars AT&T. Nice gravel road in and huge turn around parking area.

We stayed in the large flat lot down past the first camping area you come to that has a handful of designated sites and pit toilet. The lower lot was nice and quiet, except it’s deer season and there was some noise from hunters who showed up that night and set up camp in the grassy area at the end of the lot (and fired off a gun), and hunters who showed up early the next morning and parked right behind us for some reason, when there was only one other vehicle besides us in the whole big parking area. Those were minimal disturbances, though, and it was a great spot to stay over for a night. There are 2-3 additional camping areas in the conservation area, too. Whenever you come into the conservation area on RB, you can go left (where we went to camp), right, or straight, and find small camping areas down each road. We toured the others before we left and the others were all full of hunters who were camped. The big lot found by turning left off RB was the least populated while we were there.

Stayed here 10/21/21. Just ~10 min off I-70. Quiet place. Perfect nights sleep in my car.

Was going to stay at Walmart but decided to drive a little farther to get to this spot. So glad we did. Parked at the gravel end of the road in our 35 foot bus and didn't see anyone until morning when some vehicles showed up to park and go hunting in the woods.

So much better than a Walmart parking lot. Nice level gravel parking lot big enough for my 19’ travel trailer and Tacoma to easily turn around. Quiet nature setting and cell service. There are 3 or 4 different parking lots open to dispersed camping.

What a nice place. Driving from the east coast it’s the first true free “boondocking” camp for me. Rolled in last night past one family and set up in a tent spot with my camper truck. Gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Slept like a brick. Two cars drove by in the night, but otherwise this is a very quiet place with no light/ noise pollution. Woke up to the sound of birds in the AM.

When you get to these coordinates, you can go left to camping area or go straight to a small gravel parking Lot. As we were pulling a trailer, we opted to go straight as we could turn around easier. There are actually 3 parking areas. see photo

Good spot to post up for the night. Look hard for signs especially if coming in after dark. Google maps took us to private property at first. Saw some coyotes and deer and other smaller creatures! We were the only ones there. Had good Verizon and AT&T service!
We car camped and only stayed to sleep so can’t say much about the campsites but overall, safe, secluded, and quiet spot!
