Something not right?

Description

Squamish is more and more closing down on wild camping. This is one of the last places where free camping is still allowed since it is somewhat of an established campground, it even features two pit toilets. The spot for van dwellers is much smaller, because you can only stay in the parking lot and huge boulders prevent driving into the campground. The parking lot is mainly level though, so no problem with sleeping in a car. Best would be with a tent so you would be able to go all the way to the creek. Absolutely quiet.

Latest Check-Ins

Previous descriptions are still accurate. A little over 7 km from hwy 99 up dirt road, just past the bridge turn left. There is no sign. Road is pretty rough and steep in places, but no problem for 2 wd. We stayed in truck camper, very beautiful and quiet with river sounds as background. No Verizon signal. Bigger rig ok, but not much room to turn a trailer around. Perfect for tenting with short walk.

Report Check-In

This is a gem of a spot. There are about 8 sites along the river, some are large enough for several tents, they all have fire pits if there is no fire ban in the area. The cites are no more than a 5 min walk from the road and the outhouses are fairly clean.
We did find some garbage left behind from a party which we removed. Definitely expect it to be busy on summer weekends. Take good care of this beauty!
