Report Check-In

Road closed, campsite $115 for the night.

Report Check-In

nice boondocking spot with fire rings and pit toilet right next to river. We have AT&T signal with out antenna.

Report Check-In

The first 5 sites were all full so I turned around. there were about 5 people at up when I got here a bit before sunset with more people arriving in to the night. Probably 10 vehicles at this point?

Very pretty. Views of the mountains. Cteek nearby. Spots are all close together. Sitrs 2 and 3 down the road say they have 2 spots each, but they are very cramped together. A lot of people showing up after 4 looking for spots, but they are all filled @ sites 1-3.

Go to the third campsite listed on here to find out all the information about these campsites. There are eight of them with one to four campsites at each location down this road. We attempted to come and stay at one of them on a Monday night and all of them up to campsite five were full. We ended up staying at the trail head after campsite five. It says no camping there, but we did anyway because of the lack of sites open. Woke up to a forest service truck next to us but they didn’t bother us. They were pit toilets at each campsite and they seem to be nice but they are packed full with people. 1 to 3 bars, a Verizon service throughout the road. Road is in very good condition for a forest road.

Report Check-In

Roads are open. Camping is open. One bar Verizon. Terrible mosquitoes. Trash and pit toilets.

Report Check-In

Road is open and the dirt road is nice. Enjoy!

We were told by a ranger the gate opened for the year on June 30. We snagged a spot at first campsite and stayed over a week. As others said ideal location between Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Any vehicle can drive the dirt road. We took it all the way to Idaho (Walmart) on July 4th. Newly graded and open the whole way. Pit toilets, tables, bear boxes, and fire rings at each of the established site. Sign at each entrance tells how many at each site (anywhere from 1-4). Fantastic spot on the snake river with beautiful views. Only drawback is once the place is full people continued to come and stay overnight, some arrived as late as 1 am and woke us all up driving back and forth with headlights and headlamps while they set up. Please be respectful of others! Flagg Ranch has convenience stores, wifi, gas, and even co-op laundry very close by.

Great free campsite. Plenty of spots for us but we came during the first snow. Highly recommend!

Report Check-In

we stayed 3 Nights to explore teton park, very nice place, busy but ok, sometimes generator, best for big rigs, 2-4 are little, forest burned, free, clean

Report Check-In

free, near the river, quite, full but ok, not Level, nearxteton and near yellowston south

Report Check-In

it is allowed to camp here again. amazing spots, honestly the best we have had in 2 months for free. has per site a picnic table, fire ring, and toilets. next to a lake, not a bad dirt road, mountain views, in between Yellowstone and Teton. perfect place! got some WiFi at the lodge, no service tho. get here early because it's full soon

Report Check-In

Excellent spot not too far from the south entrance to Yellowstone (20mins drive). Very pretty, on top of the river.
The place says 4 spots only, but there were many more people here. And the ranger said it was alright. They may transform it into an organized campground but for now it's free.
Nice attached toilet pit as well.
Very close to some hot springs.
Also, the nearby lodge has a really nice restaurant for good affordable breakfast.
No signal whatsoever (though you can get wifi at the nearby lodge).

Report Check-In

Closed, talked to the visitor center near by and they dont know when it will open either. They said they let the snow melt naturally. They said the rangers dont have any idea whats going on either as to why its not opened yet.

See the description for Site 3 further down the road for full details and logistics. Site 3 with 2 camping spots has the best view.

SO MANY MOSQUITOS. The area is beautiful even though many of the tree burned a few years ago. The river is beautiful and fairly warm, and swim able. There is a pit toilet and technically 4 sites here, each with food storage, picnic table, and fire pit. When we stayed we got one of the 4 spots, but by evening there were at least 9 vehicles parked all over. We are fine with this and have a “they more the merrier” mentality. However one man at one of the sites did not like it and could be heard yelling at people that this wasn’t a Walmart parking lot and people needed to find space elsewhere etc. Everyone was just there to sleep and then move on the next day, no one cared but him. He was more of a disturbance than anyone else... don’t be like him. If there is space and someone needs a place to park, share. If you don’t want to share, it’s probably better to find private paid spots. Another note: Huckleberry hot spring nearby. Pretty hike, water is not for soaking, we got bitten by some sort of fly that left what look like bruised marks all over our bodies. You have been warned.
