Allison Lake Storey | Established Campground

Last minute decision to stay at Allison Lake Storey. Didn’t need a reservation for $19/night primitive tent camping. Campground is a “stone’s throw” (pun intended) from the city of Galesburg. Had dinner at Perkins and filled my water bottle and got ice at Taco John’s (with permission). Restrooms were unclean. I opted to take a shower at my next stop. CityFree WiFi was acceptable.

18$ a night/ nice host but some guests were a little weird but no one bothered us. would stay here again. restrooms were nothing fancy but clean

Great campground and wonderful host. We did not plan on staying here but we were stranded due to van problems. Unfortunately, our cv axle broke in the middle of their parking area. The host (Jake) immediately jumped in and helped my husband. We could not drive our van so he hooked us up to his Utility vehicle and got us to a level site with power. The next morning, he towed us to the auto shop.

Nice campground! Tent camping areas are on grass and each has a picnic table. Shower/ bath facilities are old, but relatively clean.

$22 for electric only. We stayed in #67. Great spot, great view, long walk to toilets.
Hot showers and somewhat clean bathrooms. Free city wifi is slow, but there.
