On of our best campsite so far in Northern British Columbia. Gorgeous place directly at the shore of Dease Lake with a great view to the south across the lake. Not visible and no noise from the Highway, easy access on a gravel road, easy boat launch.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Great free spot. No one around end of May. Ended up filling a whole bag with beer cans and plastic bottles. Why do people have to trash everything? Please help keep this clean and enjoy the nice views and lake.
Report Check-InGreat spot by the lake. Our 6x6 expedition truck could easily turn around in both beachside campsites. One was taken so we took the other. Peaceful and great views.
It the late afternoon was able to was a float plane take off on the lake. A great spot.
Report Check-InStayed here 2 nights ago, down at the boat launch. Absolutely the best spot! The track down to the boat launch is not steep at all, and very easy. Well worth it!
Report Check-InPerfect for overnight. Great view of lake and quiet. We were the only people here.
Report Check-InWe stayed in the gravel area at the top next to a couple of RVs. Tons of space here, nobody was in the lake front sites but they looked pretty nice. We took a dip in the lake and it was very cold. Lots of mosquitos, especially in the morning when it was calm.
Report Check-InGreat lakefront site. There are two lakefront sites here, although one may be a locals boat launch (doesn’t look like one - but another camper mentioned it. There’s also a huge flat area elevated above the lake. We had a nice breeze, which kept the skeeters at bay but they would be brutal in calm wind.
Report Check-InHUGE flat area. no noise. the weather wasn't great when we were there but it was still beautiful by the lake
Report Check-Inwe spent a night by rain, direct on the beach to muddy, upper big place ok, but not that nice, no noice, well hidden, space for many cars, sandy
Report Check-InBig gravel pit with a gorgeous view! Lots of room for any size rig as the entrance isn't too steep. The spot right at the lake is better for vans or tents as no room to turn around, but lots of room on the upper plateau with hard packed gravel surface so would be fine in the rain. No services and the highway is quiet at night.
Report Check-Inyep, pretty spot. had only two visits from other cars, one yesterday evening and one this morning. traffic noise was there but not bad
Report Check-InWe stayed here for the night and what a great spot with an amazing veiw. It looks to be an old gravel pit but very level and perfect for a single trailer or group of trailers.
Report Check-InDefinitely better than the "real" spot as it's directly by the water and very leveled. Space for up to three bigger vans I'd say.
Report Check-Init's a nice spot to spend the night. Hidden from the hwy but you can hear it. there almost no traffic so all was fine. Nobody on the plateau above so had a nice sleep at night.
Report Check-InWell sure not the best but nice. We stay directly next to the beach - but very close above us there is a little plateau which is very crowded right now 5 Rvs- some let their generator running:-(((
So this place feels almost like a official camping place - if you like it- you are right here- if not like us- avoid this place.
