Super large area to camp . Talked to Forest service . 5 day limit. Tall grass. A few fire pits. Right on snake river. Traffic from 89, is a bit loud. Remember to take your garbage when leaving and clean up after your dogs.

Quiet. Great spot near the water. People partying with music on the weekends though.
Report Check-InWe slept 1 night- Perfect place. Very quiet, we were 3 smalls rv right next to the river!! The road is still on construction !!
Report Check-InAs of August 2021 they are doing major construction on the upper level of this area. Road is all tore up and massive dirt piles. You can still camp on the lower level near the River. Not sure what they are doing or if it will be free camping for much longer...
Report Check-InFree camping on the west side of the snake river/Palisades reservoir. 5 day limit, dry camping. There are fire rings, but currently there are fire restrictions right now. Pretty quiet where we are with just a tiny buzz of the highway
Report Check-InGood place to spend the night. I parked by the entrance, didn’t see the lake. I was passing through alpine so didn’t spend much time. Highway noise didn’t bother me. I didn’t leave my van because it was -8 degrees F (-22 C). But nice view of the mountains from bed.
Report Check-InWe pulled in around 8pm on a Fri night. plenty of space. We had full Verizon service, and the previous comments about bugs all accurate. We are just passing through and didnt go outside so they didnt bother us.
Report Check-InInsane views!!! It’s a perfect free camp/van/rig spot. No bathrooms and near the main drag. Pretty sweet spot
Report Check-InPretty, open spot by the reservoir with mountain views. Can be windy. Only park above the water. Do not park at water level. We have been entertained all afternoon by trucks getting stuck in the mud. RV's get stuck too and it's $200 an hour to get pulled out! Don't be tempted to park next to the water. The reservoir level changes based on the needs of the surrounding area and they don't give any warnings. You could wake up in the water or at the least get stuck in the mud. Stay high! The water is nice and the kids are having fun playing in it. You could kayak here.
Report Check-InNice views.
Very less cars on the highway at night time.
In summer you can go down to the gravel shoreline of the river.
Found a beautiful site in the trees but it's like everybody in the state was here this weekend. Loud music, screaming, yelling, fireworks and gunfire well past 10pm.
Report Check-InNice spot by the Snake River. There is freeway noise during the day but quiet at night. Room for lots of people and rigs of all sizes.
Report Check-InThis place is pretty good. Road not too loud but you can take the dirt road further away to camp up. Also, there is a mobile toilet on site... Bring your own loo roll!
Little to no mosquitos, which is a nice change for us!!
forgot to mention when we stayed there was a porta potty! didn't use so not sure what state it was in...
Report Check-Instayed last night with about 4 or 5 other rvs but plenty of room to be nowhere near each other! very buggy (not mosquitoes)as right on the river and a but of noise from the main road but definitely had worse! ended up pulling in about 8.30 PM and left at 8.30 am with no problems.
