Nice small NPS campground on the Appalachian Trail and Skyline Drive.
There is a camp store and there are coin showers. $15 a night.
Good T-Mobile 4g.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The smallest campground in Shenandoah. No hookups but water is available to fill. Dump stations are available to all at Big Meadows and Mathew’s Arm campsites. AT goes right through here. $30 per night, Shenandoah does not allow car camping/boondocking.
Report Check-InSpacious campground, but I came just for the shower. Coin operated (quarters) and the only option is $5 for 10 minutes. There seems to only be one shower for the entire campsite, so luckily I needed a shower at 2 pm and there wasn’t a line. I can imagine it would be packed early morning or evening. Hot water and decent pressure, and reasonably clean.
Report Check-InPrice is $30 a night and still looks like you have to pay extra for showers. I did not stay as $30 a night without showers is to much in my opinion.
Report Check-InAll campgrounds in the NP are now $30. This one is small, quaint, has water and very clean bathrooms. Showers are $2.50, 5 min. DO NOT buy the firewood from the store, it's all completely wet and u have a smoke pit, not fire pit. Good for keeping the bugs away. as there were alot!
Report Check-InSo-so in my opinion, the sites are on top of each other, but a nice setting. I had a better time at Loft Mtn CG to the south.
Report Check-In32 spots all with fire pits. Some have bear boxes. All level concrete pads. Camp store with ice and various goods. Pay showers available. $15 a night. First come. Quiet hrs start at 10pm.
