Not possible anymore. Not allowed. A guide in a hut controls it and in the night there is a barrier.

Very nice place frequented by locals who come to swim and do their laundry. We spent a quiet night and the children were able to play by the water.

Nice free spot, if you get there after 16:00 you can buy your tickets the next day!

When you drive towards the lake, there is an old building remains, on the left side, that travelers have dig out to get a perfectly leveled spot.

Park there because some workers come in the morning to pump some water and sell it in town and the were quite pissed that we were parked on "their" working spot although this is a NP and it doesn't make any sense...

You can pass the night accordingly to the guy. But he recommends the hotel from the Ejido (in charge of the lakes, he accepted that he is recommending this because he is from the ejido jajaja).

Top free campsite at the shore of Laguna Tzizcao with a nice sunset. Easy access, quiet, clean, no amenities. You have to pay Entrance fee to the Parque National Lagunas Montebello (37 Peso p.P.) and 25 Peso p.P. to enter the lakes.

We ended up staying two nights here, and they were one of the quietest nights we had.
There are a lot of people coming to shower in the lake, but every thing stops right after sunset and none came by at night.

This spot is one of the access to Tziscao Lake. We got here in the afternoon and a nice guy explained us that we could stay here, but recommended the other side of the shore as it can get crowded and loud at night time here.
The access to this shore is included in the 25$ of the Montebello\Cinco Lagos/Pojoj/Liqui Dambar/Tziscao International. It’s one ticket that covers all these lakes and it’s valid for 2 days .
