Description

Red Rock Coulee Natural Area. From the highway (it’s signposted) there is a decent gravel road leading up to a small gravel loop. You can park and stay the night, I stayed in a camperised van, there is room for a few cars/vans/smaller RVs. I don’t think I’d risk it with a big rig but as I was leaving a huge tour bus pulled in so maybe? Absolutely beautiful place to watch the sunset and spend the night. After the sun went down it was totally quiet, only people started to show up around 10am the next morning (it was Canada day though so maybe more than usual!)
There is nothing here, not even trash cans, but there is good phone service.

Was very nice. Ice fog and solitude. Spent two nights, hiked the coulee, had a pickup come through, a grader parked and had a lunch the next day. Other than that, bambis, bunnies, and birds.

Great and beautiful place. Parking is around the roundabout but enough space for several RV or van and cars. No toilet, no garbage. Unfortunately, the night we were, weird people came at midnight and went away at 2 am very loudly and disrespectul. Please be nice and discreet in the middle of night, We are all humans We can live together.

Arrived just at sun down and had a quiet peaceful night. No one else showed up until around 10 am the next morning. Got pretty windy but temperature was perfect for a good sleep. Woke up, had breakfast and went for a hike exploring! Super cool ripples of clouds all morning. Great stop!!

Nice spot with amazing views! Parking is on a loop with room for a few trailers and RVs. I would say 4 mid size campers would fit. The red rock coulee is a must see. The rocks look like something out if this world. Be aware they warn of rattlesnakes in the area. Also an abundance of cactus and little prickly cactus in the grass if you have pets.

A sign there will tell you to beware of rattle snakes but you should really BEWARE OF TICKS!

Amazing to find this in the Canadian prairies. Gravel parking lot, no garbage, no electrical, 2 bars LTE (without booster) but Amazing views! If you have a self efficient unit, we recommend this place to enjoy the attraction and free place to overnight.

Wonderful place, great views, ultra quiet, nice hike. Locals use spot during the day, great for a night stay!

Lovely place! An RV was parked along the road close to the actual site. A truck was there in the evening for a little bit but then left. A bit windy at night. Very interesting landscape! A few cars in the morning with people walking around and taking photos. No outhouse or garbage bins. Please take your trash with you and don’t leave toilet paper! Access via gravel road but in great condition. Had reception with Telus.

spectacular place, perfect spot to feel alone on the moon! can fit few vans or couple big rigs

Incredible place, as described. It is a bit out of the way if you're going along the Trans Canada but it is well worth it. Sunset is beautiful and you can go for a little hike around. I stayed for a night in summer 2018 and was happy to return.

Beautiful spot to camp for a night with a camper or tent (there is a nice grassy area in the middle of the parking lot to pitch your tent). There is no shade, so the sun heats up your tent quite quickly in the morning, but the breeze made it bareable. It is about 20 minytes off of highw ay 1, but so worth the drive. We checked out a few others in the area before we found this one, but they were not nearly as nice as this one.

Nice site. Cleared out after the sunset. Windy.
