Something not right?

Description

Dispersed camping near the Dry Saint Vrain trailhead. Despite the name, it was quite wet when I camped here (June). There's a small steam and at least one good vehicle camp spot with several other tent areas nearby. Some mosquitoes. The trail is a 4-mile out and back with a steady downhill on the way out, ending in a river.

Latest Check-Ins

High clearance vehicle definitely recommended though a couple Subarus did make it. Pretty narrow (Sprinter van was a touch big, but okay). You’ll drive through 1/8 of a mile of private land with 24 hour surveillance signs, but come to a couple nice areas to camp. The sign said no camping, but it’s so far off the beaten path that I’d be surprised if anyone bothered you. You can hike a couple miles to the creek (downhill out, uphill return).

Very dicey coming out when wet without 4wd! Would not recommended camping here on a rainy night.

Report Check-In

Got here late last night, definitely not the move. very hard to navigate the road and see any sort of pull offs prior to the trail, we got there and the singular spot was taken so we stuck it out in the parking lot of the trail head. in order to reach the spot you have to drive through a residential area that repeatedly says ‘private property’, not a bad spot but definitely one you want to get to in the day light

Report Check-In

You will pass through 1/8 of a mile of private land with many signs stating no trespassing and no camping. there are pull-offs before the trailhead that you can overnight. there are signs at the trailhead stating no camping but I think if you just pull in for the night it's fine. The creek was dry when I was here July 4th.
