There is a paved loop of road around the peninsula with multiple pull outs, several stone fire rings have been built around the peninsula. The peninsula has three levels, river level, paved loop half way up and a gravel road that goes to the peak. Opportunity to camp anywhere here. there is a gate at the entrance but it is broken and looks like it has been for years, there are no signs of any kind, no toilets or running water.

Spent the night just outside the closed gate.
Got a knock at 8am to kick us out by a Port Authority official. He said it's illegal to camp there.
Not sure if they actually come to check there every morning though...
gate was closed, but parked right on the road up to it. One other camper here. very nice scenery but a little noisy with street traffic and trains across the pond.
Report Check-InThe park itself is closed with a gate, but we stayed in front of the gate without any problems. Beautiful sunset!!!
Report Check-InWhen I arrived, the gate was closed but there was a pull off on the left side that I was able to park at. There was another campervan there too.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot. Gate was locked so we pulled off next to the river and slept soundly. 2 trains during g the night but those were a half mile away. Woke up to sun and Canadian Geese!r
Report Check-InBeautiful! Lots of beautiful spots and alcoves for parking. Good ATT signal. No problems in my sprinter for a few nights. Pretty quite, but Lightly trafficked but some people in and out.
Report Check-InThis is tribal land that you have to have permission to go on. There is also a game now across the road. You can walk in but cannot drive. Road is closed
