Description

Nashipa Camp is a nice place near river beside the archers post. Good place to visit the Nationa lparks around, Samburu, etc.
Showers and toilets are simple but clean. Although there is a special tent with 2 beds for 4 persons and sitting toilets and good showers.
The place has a kitchen if you want to cook for yourself, otherwise the staff will cook for you and serve it in a nice outdoor restaurant.
The price for person for camping is 1000 ks but discuss the tent price.
Sometimes in early morning or later afternoon some animals are crossing the site. At the riverbed be careful for crocs.

Latest Check-Ins

At the ablutions for the camping area there was no water. We could use the shower and toilet in one of the tents. we just had to climb first up to the water tank yo open the tap there to have water. The place is more or less fenced in, and from the camping, you have no river view. We liked the Umoja Campsite better.

Report Check-In

We were disappointed with this campsite after previous reviews. The location is perfect for visiting Samburu NP as it is literally a couple of minutes from the gate. However I feel the campsite has been neglected, the toilets were quite frankly disgusting, the showers worked OK and we're refreshing but again dirty. I did engage with the team at the camp and although friendly they did not clean the ablutions even when asked, I cleaned a toilet just so we could use it. But we did have a huge elephant walk through the camp in the middle of the night and we stayed 2 nights to optimise our 24 hour park entry with an afternoon drive one day and an early morning drive the next day. I just feel it is a real shame as with a very small amount of work this campsite could be a gem. 1000 ksh pppn

We liked this place a lot! Price is still 1000 ksh/ppn. The shower is working. They have electricity at the bar. One night the chef alfred made a really nice little buffet for us (1000 ksh/pp). When you want, they light a campfire for you at night and tell you storie and informations about the samburu traditions. A samburu village is just outside the campsite. The gate to the samburu national reserve is also very near.

Sweet place. Friendly staff. Quiet. Comfortable. Has showers, sink, flush toilet. Clean. Dining area available for eating your own food.

Sweet place. Comfortable tent with screens that aren’t ripped and zippers that function. Friendly staff. Showers now work. As do the sink and flush toilet. Took a lovely walk by the river in the early morning to watch birds and baboons and see lots of sign of giraffe, zebra and antelope. Hot during mid day - good time to rest. Comfortable area to cook and enjoy meals of food you yourself must bring in.

Report Check-In

Dusty campsite full of litter. No water for toilets. Managed a shower by asking if we could use shower in one of the bandas. Felt staff could have been much more engaged in cleaning the place up and making it more habitable.

Nice little Campsite with great view. We saw a lot of footprints from wild animals outside the camp. Price 1000 ppn. Water was ordered from the manager Juli at arrival and App. 1 hour later the shower was ready.

Report Check-In

Very basic little camping ground 100m away from river and about 2 km away from A2. No electricity, no hot showers. We could not take a cold shower because no water. Security guard brought us a bucket of water . Asked 2000 Kes ppm 2000tthedishwasher
