Good, well-equipped Copec with clean bathrooms. It felt as safe as any other Copec, however when I was waiting in our van for our laundry to finish, somebody tried to enter the back of the van. Luckily I had locked myself in and they quickly left. Just trying on the off-chance of an unlocked door I think, so just be sensible and cautious as always! This was the afternoon and it was very busy. We didn’t stay the night.

grosse station avec lave linge et sèche linge (2000cpl chacune). douches, restaurant bien fourni. payer à la caisse pour avoir les jetons pour faire la machine.

After spending the first night here, we then spent the day while planning the next stages of our trip, still parked at the very end of the truck parking lot. Was able to use the generator to charge our motorhome batteries with no issues, and had a nice talk with their gardener when he walked nearby. No one bothered is during the day.

During the night, on the other hand, it was a completely different situation: we slept late, and I spent a few minutes outside watching the trucks maneuvering. These guys are reckless! They drove their enormous vehicles (8-axle, 20-meter and larger semi trucks and trailers) like they were small passenger cars, getting very near at high speeds and almost hitting each other and the other vehicles parked nearby (like us!). We moved our motorhome from the rear to the corner of the parking lot to try to get out of their way as much as possible, and parked our pickup truck between the motorhome and the rest of the lot to try and 'protect' it (the pickup would be cheaper to fix), but then watched a maneuvering semi truck actually hit another motorhome right in front of us (!!!). This is definitely the last time we share a parking lot with these trucker guys...

Spent two nights and a day here. The first night we parked and slept early at the rear of the truck parking lot: as expected, a whole lot of noise with trucks starting, idling, accelerating, reversing and gassing off their brakes all night. See next review for our second night.

highway 5 station service. gas station, restaurant, free wifi, free restroom, shower for 800pesoos, tv room, lavandry. open 24/24. lot of trucks. tent is possible

Big station with big parking lot at the back, OK to pass the night with the van. Showers were 800$. Water OK.

You can also camp here with your tent!

Behind the gasstation is a good grassy field and you are well hidden from the street and trucks as well.

Internet works well and showers are hot

Busy showers and men's bathroom is not very nice. All showers were occupied, so woman at the counter told me to go women's bathroom - there is also one shower, no charge. Water wasn't that hot but still ok. My bf had to wait in line and pay for his shower.

Very nice self-service laundry machines, plus super nice and clean showers. Camped in back with all the truckers. Free.

Laundry at the Copec south Chillan on Ruta 5. Washmachine is 600 CLP, drymachine is 600 CLP. Also wifi and shower (500 CLP) as usual.
