Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Private property, NO CAMPING permitted!

Outstanding view. Quiet, dark, level and free! my kind of boondocking spot! Perfect for car camping and smaller rigs (B for sure, possibly C). Cannot see tents or larger rigs as there is lots of ground brush/thicket. (the GPS coordinates are a bit off, the road being a little further south) Plenty of spots for small and big rigs, tents etc. Some spots have campfires but there is a fire ban when we were here. To access: turn off main road (westside Road) onto Firwood Road. Take your immediate right up a dirt track, follow track until you find a good spot. Really great find!

This is private land. The land owners request that no one camp here anymore.

Ah-maze-ing!! Spoke to some locals who live up the road, they confirmed this is crown land owned by the regional district. Tons of room for basically any rig (as long as you’ve got a little zest for adventure) - bumpy rocky dirt road. Good cell signal.

Five stars!!

Track up do-able with 2WD in dry conditions but need to be careful if have low clearance. Nice quiet spot (once the local Harley Davidson club finished their Sunday outing to tour Westside Rd!). Be aware you are near a group of houses. Locals saw me and didn't say anything. Place is clearly used for camping a lot.

This is really nice spot. We were here for a week. Just beware that this might be a private property. Unfriendly guy with a white pickup truck came on our last day to send us off, saying that it was his buddy’s place. We didn’t trust him for many reasons (way too big to be someone’s property and there was a trailer that was setup for a long stay). So, be prepared that there might be a “Private Property sign.

I was reading on my bc back road book and I believe this land is to be First Nations reserve land.
I stayed here this summer for one night only and had no issues. But be aware of your surroundings because you might not be on legal camping grounds!

just as the description says! it's great there, no mosquitos! I maybe saw 3 the whole time I was there. only thing is that dog walkers will pull up next to you in the morning (from 9am) so if you're sleeping in the car, like us, wear pajamas!🤣 needless to say, I gained a story when staying there hah!

I follow the the vibe of bare overland on this spot and it’s spectacular, I’m here now enjoying the view on my inflatable couch with a glass of wine by the fire. With google map the GPS it is spot on for one of the camp (the best one I think) but the road (trail) to get there is just a bit further south from the GPS mark, a little trail off firewood rd corner of westside rd, about 400 meter south off westside rd

Really nice spot!! A short bumpy road but no problem with a van :)

nice spot ! the dirt road leads to many different individual spots. the view is perfect. a little bit of noise coming from the road still but we slept well !

Very easy access, lot of space, nice little views over the lake, no mosquitoes in summer... we spent a super quiet night in tent. Recommended!
PS: on the road, at the north of this location, there are several « food trucks » selling cheap THC and CBD products from the farm, you definitely should try one of them

Lovely views, the other spot nearby has a no camping sign but here there is nothing. Road is a little bumpy but no problem for any car/camper, not for huge rigs though. We were alone, stars were gorgeous and no bugs with the wind!

Not far from the other spot but higher up and further away from road. Outstanding view. Plenty of spots for small and big rigs, tents etc. Some spots have campfires but there is a fire ban when we were here. To access: turn off main road (westside Road) onto Firwood Road.
