Leaving Brazil on Sunday, a guard requested our papers on the gate and let us waiting on the sidewalk, a few minutes later he came back with everything in order. After this paperwork we went to Receita Federal for the car papers (we went there the next day because it is closed on Sundays).

Entered Brazil. Were here yesterday but they weren’t able to check us in because of a local holiday. Other than that a quick process. Give your passport through the gate

Very easy, all done in 10 minutes. They can stamp passports up to two days before exiting. Come here before doing car papers round the corner.

We arrived at 7:40 and they weren’t open yet. We were let into the building about ten minutes later, but had to wait until 8. We were seen immediately, but getting stamped out took 45 minutes due to an error in their computer system about how long I had stayed. The official was very nice about it.

On sundays and holidays it is only from 16.00-18.00h. They take your passport and let you wait outside the gate.

Sortie du pays sans problème même si notre visa est dépassé de 7 jours ! Pour les mineurs rien de spécial et pour les majeures, on signe un papier qui stipule que, lors de notre prochaine visite au Brésil, on devra payer 700 réal (100/j/p). Personnel sympa.

We drove into Brazil from San Matias, Bolivia and were instructed to get our Brazil entry stamp in Caceres. This is the place to do so. The custom officer in the front desk stamped our entry.

If you’re leaving Brazil you also need to get your exit stamp here.

After exiting from San Matías, Bolivia you must travel to Cáceres to have passports stamped by Federal Police

On a Saturday the place was looking closed, but if you go to the small gate the guard in the gatehouse will come out and take your passports inside for processing

The chap on the desk was very friendly and spoke good English. You need this passport stamp before you can go get your TIP from the Aduana.

This is where you get your passport stamped in or out of Brazil. If coming in, you won't need a temporary import permit for your vehicle (Brazil don't seem to care about foreign vehicles). If leaving the country, then they are happy to stamp it in advance for leaving the next day. Supposed to be open 8am - 11pm, but it might be closed at lunchtime and might be closed after 8.30pm… Very friendly chap on the
desk.
