Drive the tarmac road a little further, around a large corner to the left. After the corner there is a little meadow at the left side of the road. Beautiful view and quiet. A little bit of trafic passing by

As described before but we actually found an alternative spot we rate better. Instead of turning uphill on the dirt track we turned downhill on the grassy track past the power poles to a flat area with uninterrupted views of the valley.

Good spot. All the electricity poles ruin the view a bit. The before mentioned water source at the upper Picknick area wasn't working.

Do not use the picnic area itself, because it is completely garbage!
Just before there is a plain grassy area with a wonderful view over the whole valley and this impressive rocky landscape!

Great spot with a beautiful view. If you go up to the picnic area on top of the hill. There is a water source. It's not the cleanest I've ever seen but I've been drinking it all day without issue.

We were send to this wonderful place by the lady from the tourist information office in Alaverdi. You can camp at an older picnic spot (where we did) or a bit further on the dirt road near a new picnic spot (2017). The place is quit and you have a astonishing view over the Debed canyon.

Nice spot on the hill with a view to the village. You can make barbecue here. No water. About 10km from the main road.
