Description

The park lies on a narrow strip of land between the river and the sea and has a nice campground and a day-use/picnic area. 9 pull-through sites, separated by trees and bushes, along the road to the day-use area on the seaside with a long sandy beach. The campground with about 20 additional sites was still closed due to snow. No hookups but a dumping station. Sanitary block with flush toilets and hot showers as well as a laundry room with washer and dryer (75 cents each) next to park entrance. Free WiFi in the same area. Campsites are a few hundred meters away and have several pit toilets. Not much to do except relaxing and fishing. As in many other places, black flies were a nuisance. $27.15/night incl. taxes.

Spent a quiet night, lovely sandy beach, good facilities.

Report Check-In

We were looking for a place to stay and refresh after 10 days of boondocking. This is a lovely small (~30 sites) campground. The sites are gravel/dirt/grass and most need some leveling. Most are long and narrow and tucked into the trees for shade and privacy. There are a few sites on the beach with great views. There are no services other than trash in the camping area. There’s a comfort station near the entrance with showers, rest rooms, good wifi, dump station and water (unclear if potable). The showers were good with ample hot water. There's a laundry room. There’s no cell coverage in the camping area. It rained for the entirety of our visit so we did not get to explore the area. Beautiful beach.

nice campground on a peninsula jutting into the pinware river delta as it comes out to the ocean. long, sandy beach to walk. each site has a picnic table, firepit, and trash can. comfort station at park entrance has dump station, potable water, flush toilets, shower, and laundromat. campground has pit toilets. paid $27 for a site on the ocean side, which has more of a breeze to keep the flies away. beautiful place!

Report Check-In

Place was supposed to be closed September 24th. But some people had pulled in and we pulled in as they were leaving.

The Park Ranger was nice enough to leave the place open for one more night for us.

We didn't have any of the amenities, but the place was awesome.

Still the same (price, internet, place, laundry...) than below comment. Black flies still there. Sea was 4°C.

Great campsites with beach front views. Stayed one night with a great long walk on the beach. This time quite a breeze and a lot of black flies during dusk and dawn.
