Description

Full-service hostel that also allows camping. There is a grassy area in back where ground tents can be set up (two are there at the time of this entry). There is also space for 1-2 small-to-medium-sized vehicles to park (would be tight to maneuver in a big rig). A separate bathroom with hot showers is available and easily accessible to campers. Close to town and yet quiet. Fast wifi and laundry service available. A basic breakfast is included in the price, and options to add eggs, muesli and/or porridge are available for an extra fee. The owners are super nice and speak Svenska, Chileno, Deutsch and English. in feb 2020 it was 10.000 pesos per adult to camp.

Dorm rooms were 13.500 clp including breakfast in May 2018, prob. up now
No height restriction.

Fabulous hostel , incredibly well equipped. They asked 18000 pp to sleep in our campervan or 55000 for a double room with en-suite shower room. Very central. You can only use the kitchen between 11 and 21-30 in high season as they offer a full breakfast for an additional 7000 pp. as it was low season they let us use the kitchen all the time. Really friendly staff.

beautiful hostel that allowed us to camp in our campervan for 15,000 pp. very central location! lovely big sitting room to relax, well equipped kitchen and dining area. great hot water shower and bathrooms- super clean!! pricey for camping but well worth it! owners are really friendly and super helpful!

Price is now 15,000pp to camp and it does not include any breakfast. It’s the highest price we’ve paid to camp.

But it’s also one of the best hostel camping experiences we’ve had. GREAT hot water shower and lovely living room for working and using the fast WIFI. The hostel is well taken care of. Kitchen is better than every other hostel we’ve stayed at. This ain’t your hippy hostel…

Parking is big enough for most rigs. No height restriction and entrance gate is wide. But if you’re super big, you may want to check out the parking area first before trying to enter.

It’s pricey, but we would actually stay again!

nice but pricy Hostel. I decided for a single room with shared bathroom which was 34000 CLP per night. Breakfast is 6000 CLP additionally. other then that good kitchen and big enough parking for three cars/vans.

Report Check-In

very nice and clean facilities
prices went up - 10.000 for one person camping, incl. compulsory breakfast
lavendaria still 8.000 whatever the quantity - other cheaper options in the street (but closed Sundays)

One of the best hostels we have been so far! Everything is newly renovated. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the clean and hot showers, the big and well equipped kitchen as well as the fast WIFI very much. The owners speak Spanish, English and German and are really nice! We parked our camper van in the clean, secured and quite big backyard and payed 7000CLP pp (probably off season price) including a simple but good breakfast. The laundry was still 8000CLP for up to 6kg and was clean and dry in 3h. If we could, we would have stayed for ever!

we car camped. best showers we had on the whole trip, actually better than what we had back home :D
the breakfast is nice (except for the instant coffee) and included, good location. 6kg laundry for 8000.-. Dogs allowed in garden. Prefect pre- or post-carretera austral stop.
for chile a pretty fair price.

Expensive and bad welcome. 13000 for a shared bunkbed. 20000 for a private room with shared bathroom. Bikes not protected from rain in the courtyard. the arrogant german brat at the reception was inmediatly refusing my wet clothing, due to havy rain. The drying machine. no dirty stuff!?
So i went to another, better place... see other revieuw receña.

Excellent place. One of the most comfortable I had so far in South America.
Hot showers, warm rooms (central heating), secure parking for motorcycle in the backyard.

Price is still 13.500 clp including breakfast if I remember correctly.

Staff was very motorcycle friendly.

Nothing wrong with this place. Similar price to other hostels. Paid 13500$ for dorm bed with good breakfast. They got also a little covered wood shed area to park the bikes.

Report Check-In

Not recommended. Very expensive for very little. The rude and greedy owner is dishonest. There are many other better options in Puerto Varas or just a few minutes away in Puerto Mont.

8500 pp camping, 8000 per load for laundry, can do quite a big load maybe 7 kilos includes use of a dryer. Wifi is fast.

Tent Camped in the back garden 10,000p p/p our most expensive yet. Had access to kitchen, shower, toilet, lounge, wifi etc and offered laundry service for 5,000p per load.
