.....
Just pull off the road where the sand is not too deep and enjoy the silence, you can just camp everywhere. no mobile service.

The road leads you to the Mabusehube Gate. We pulled off the tar road in Makopong. There is a sign for the Transfontier Park. Road is sandy for 100 km. On maps.me, it shows the track going north but it disappears on the map.

Update after driving the whole way:
We are not sure where we made a mistake, but we recognised that we missed the trail when we met 3 guys on a "farm". They couldn't speak english but directed us the right way back to the real track. The beginning was a road, but then it disappeared. Check before going here!

Latest Check-Ins

You can no longer transit this road. It is blocked by locked gates about 40km in from the east. We tried our best, but eventually met someone who worked for the landholders, and they told us the road was closed years ago. However there are still signs at both ends.
