Latest Check-Ins

We arrived and the cafeteria was closed - big disappointment since we were low on food. Apparently it’s open only on Saturdays during the low season (we saw it open when we came back) due to the Yungay -> Puerto Natales ferry that departs Saturdays.

This place was closed in March 2024, hence no resupply point between Cochrane and O‘Higgins. Quite disappointed since I was looking forward to some Empanadas.

Report Check-In

Very nice empanadas, but pricey at 3500 each. No place to sit inside though. In contrast to what others said, the old lady is nice enough. But she sure looks like she doesn’t take attitude from travelers.

Report Check-In

Coffee, snacks, simple sandwiches.

Lady is nice. Nothing free (bathroom 500p, hot water 500p, etc) but I think that’s fine since she’s literally the only shop here and probably gets inundated with requests.

Only one small table to sit down though inside so not much space to escape from rain.

very. rude just tries to suck the dollars out of you

Report Check-In

Stay away of this place. The owner, an old lady, is very rude! If you want to use the restroom without any soap, you have to pay 300 pesos. All the meals and drinks are so expensive!

Report Check-In

Warm place to wait for the ferry. Freshly made empanadas de queso! :-)

On the ferry fit 12 cars or 3 trucks and 7 cars.

Empanadas = 2000 pesos each and highly recommended.

Ferry times December to march = 10am, 12 noon and 6pm. Return is one hour later.

Ferry times April to November = 12 noon and 3pm. Return one hour later.

Nothing else in town, but it is a lovely spot to hand out. Very quiet and tranquil. Could easily camp here.
