Water pressure is ridiculously high, free as previously said. Not sure why a previous comment said it was free grey water, it’s not used water coming out of the spigot. Nor does its proximity to the dump hole have any bearing on what kind of water comes out. It’s a municipal water source, which should always be filtered regardless of whether they say it’s potable or not. The water in flint Michigan was considered potable until children started having developmental issues. I filter all my water, twice if I drink it, and I filled up from here.

Great little rustic campground in the Brule State Forest on a river/stream. Multiple pit toilets. Canoe landing. Just far enough from Hwy 2. We were one of 2 sites occupied in mid April. No wifi, of course, but 5 bars on At&T.

We came here to do some maintenance on our truck and just have power & water for a few days. This was just the right place. Nothing fancy, we were the only ones here as it is off season. Power & water worked well. 5,000pp, great price. The family was so nice to us and helpful. When we started feeling like we needed done exercise, we asked if there were any trails around and the owner immediately mentioned the trail to the radio towers on the hill directly across the highway from the campground. She asked permission for us and we were ok to do it. It's easy to cross the road and pass through the 2 gates and walk up there once you have permission. Took us about 2 hours. Mountain bikers use it too. It was nice to be able to do our projects and be to ourselves here. There is noise from the construction companies on both sides and some dust but it worked out fine.

I passed by here going the other way a couple years ago and was tempted to backtrack a few miles on the highway to stay here. I wish I would have! it's a bit of a walk to get to the facilities from the camping loop, but it's worth it!

Such a welcoming family. We arrived at 7pm and asked if we could park overnight and have dinner. We were show a secure parking spot behind the gate close to the bathrooms with showers! Decent WiFi too!
Dinner was 12,000 COP for pork and 20,000 COP for the trout. Trout was delicious!

Spent a good quiet night here no problem. We are in a van. Nice spot with nice view by the water. The kind of spot I want every night.

Stopped at one police check point, showed our documents and driving licence and was wished a good journey.
Heaps of roadworks along the road, however the road flows well. Colombia drivers are very polite from our experience.

Interesting place. The fully serviced sites all seem to be occupied by long-term residents. Many of the RVs look like they haven't moved for years and may never move again.

But the unserviced sites - the tent area - is off by itself and is really quite nice. While the serviced sites are packed tight, we are the only ones in the tent area.

Tent site 17 is secluded - surrounded by trees and rock formations. Tight, but we managed to manoeuvre our full size van into the space.

The very clean and complimentary bathrooms and showers are a short walk away. The wifi - which didn't work very well for us - is only available near Reception.

Dry camping is now $30 + Tax = $33.41. There is a fairly well stocked little store at Reception. They also have Propane.

After paid 20 pesos for the bridge we enter in Guatemala with USA vehicle. First on the way pay 18 quetzal for fumigation.. you pass with the car inside one arch (with closed windows)..keep going..and that spray very quickly some liquid..
You enter in a parking and you have on your left the office for stamp your passport and fill up one form( your country your destination etc..), you have to say that you have a vehicle, they give you one number, they stamp your passport and send you in front in one building where you have to get you permission for the car .. there they want original and one copy of that document:
-Driver license
-Title or compatible document of the car( we had the registration of the car where figured the name of the owner and information of the vehicle)
-Passports( 2 copy, one of your details and one of the page with the enter stamp in Guatemala)
(They make this copy in a shop outside)
After that they give you a form to pay 160 quetzal on the window just in front same building( that is a bank desk) . Than you have to return the receipt on the custom window and is done.
They come outside to check your VIN and quick inspection and they put a sticker on your wind shield.
You ready to go!
Don’t forget the TIP form (they keep one and they give you one) you have to present this form when you leave the country. If you don’t have it is a big problem.
We where checked again immediately after leaving the parking(our passport, permits of vehicle and another quick inspection inside of the vehicle)
So we are ready to go after 1h and 30 min.
The employees where prepared and friendly.. just slowly and this process is a bit confusing and messy..

Fantastic little spot for a night just outside Pictured Rocks National Shoreline. marked as the Old H-58 on my mapy.cz app so it should be state property. No houses nearby and no cars passing on the H-28 after 9:30pm or so. Path in much better than the spot just SW of here.
