This adds to the seamless and easy service and these transfers are included in her quoted fee so no extra costs.

There are several spots up this trail. This pindrop is a large level area surrounded 360 degrees with different mountain views, including the velvet ridges. Large stone firepit. Elevation 7000 feet. Daytime ATV trail use nearby. but quiet at night. Must cross a small creek to get here. We did it easily in regular clearance 2wd van, but I can see how it might get tricky if the creek gets higher and more water. 14 days free camping. Ranger patrolled.

It says park closes at 11pm but we had no issues staying one night. It was just us in the park all night as far as I could tell. Quite spot. It is a bird haven! Great place for a dog to run around.

Dry Camping has been discontinued! Cheapest RV site is now ~$65. Still gives access to restroom, showers, laundromat at the RV park and pool and hot tub at the hotel.

Man muss 6km durch eine leichte Offroad Strecke fahren.
Auch ohne 4x4 machbar. Aber dann findet man einen super Stellplatz direkt am See mit Feuerstelle und tollem Sonnenuntergang.
Es lohnt sich den Weg durch zufahren.

Safe place by the river. It has barbecue grills and tables for public use. Natural water source. Extremely safe! Recommend

Three dump and water fill up stations on the truck/RV parking side.

Very Loud street. Street parking saw at least 2 RVs already parked and No " no parking " " no overnight parking " were seen posted.

Little picknick area at the cycle path "Havellandradweg". gras was very high when we were there but there is enough space for six tents maybe. Noone was there except a ton of frogs which were very loud at night...

Really beautiful and peaceful place. We only stayed for 1 night, but could have easily done much longer. Family is super kind and collected wood for us. Had a great campfire with the most amazing stars! Definitely recommend.

Quiet at night, well away from the road. There was nobody here when we came in the afternoon and we had a pleasant night.

Official Parking lot at Purren with benches, tables, and barbecue area. Very peaceful with a breathtaking view over Lake Constance. Accessible legally only via the road 'zum Purren' between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. (Google Maps incorrectly shows it as inaccessible). We arrived a bit later, but it was not a problem.

It's not really a campsite, it's a hotel. The campsite is in the parking lot. There were a lot of dogs in the area, we had a "great" dog barking concert in the middle of the night.

lovely place, the flat parking is finished and also a paved area with benches and stair seats. great view. there is still the option to drive down if you want more privacy but the dirt road is very bumpy at the steepest section so we didnt go down with our 2wd Ford Galaxy because we were worried we might not make it back up. however we saw 2 small 2wd cars who made it down and up. they were almost empty though and our car is heavy by itself and of course fully loaded. it all seems to be a favorite spot for locals so there was always people around (sometimes too much people to our liking ) we stayed for 2 nights

A little campsite for about 10 vans/tents/trucks, which we created ourselves after overlanding for over 4 years in a Land Rover. Here you can stay in the middle of the thuringau forest on a large grassy clearing (choose your own place) and use our brand new sanitary building with hot water showers and toilettes. Enjoy the silence, starry nights and a campfire - camping in the wild, but with more comforts of a official campsite. Hiking and biking trails starting directly from the site.
Costs: 20€ (2 persons included), no electricity on the site. Feel free to charge your electrical devices at the sanitary building. No dumping for black or grey waters. Drinking water refill at the building.
Navigate first to DSV Zentrum Hämmerer Ebene (50°25'03.4"N 11°07'58.3"E). Then follow a wide dirt track throug the forest for about 3 km to reach the campsite. Large overlanding vehicles are ok, as long as you have some clearance. There will be a narrow curve on the way, but wood trucks pass it, so you probably can, too. 4x4 not necessary.
Open between April and October. Quick call/email for checking availability is recommended.

Slept here on the way to the geysers. Did not really see a Lagoon but there is a „road“ leading a bit down and away from the road. The road is quite bad, full of big stones, so make sure you have the right car for that. It is more like rock crawling than driving and you need to go a bit until you can find a leveled spot. Not completely hidden but no car passed by all evening and night.
We saw multiple other possibilities where you could have driven off the road, so maybe there is an easier spot.

Ohnmächtig one last: we needed the lockers on one bad spot on the way up. Would maybe have worked without, but much easier with!

As Ioverlander doesn't allow me to at touristic stuff without an official ticket office or sign or whatever I add this spot as camp site.

There is a big gravel parking before and after a small stream. You can cross the stream quite easily, if not stay before the stream.

The hike is out and back, we turned around after 1 hour. Gorgeous hike along the stream in the forest. A highlight of our time in iraq.

Paid 500 a litre for diesel today. Very friendly folks!

The hotel had great views over the falls. The restaurant was not so good (dry, tasteless chicken) and we had to wait 2 hours for it. The campsite is a parking lot with dogs barking frantically all night, so we could hardly get any sleep. Only one shower and toilet. Price: 15.000 per car per night. Not recommended for an overnight stay.
