Very friendly priest , let us stay on the soccer field, was very quiet. There is water but no toilet. Lots of flies and motten ( don’t know the word in english) so do not leave your car open.

Walmart parking lot. bars over entrances to stop big rigs ands semis. signs state no over SEMI parking. semis park on a service road on the south side of Walmart. we've stayed many times, both in the parking lot and with the semis in our 20' shuttle. no one has ever said anything. we pass through maybe once a month. there is a Sheetz gas station right there that's 24/7 for middle of the night snacks and bathrooms. very quiet all night.

After staying in a basic hostel for a few nights we moved to this hotel and enjoyed the treat. 50$ for a spacious double room inkl. rich breakfast and secure underground parking for our 2 bikes where I could do some maintenance and repairs. Restaurant is also very good. Carulla Supermarket and others close by to stock up.

Walmart close to Roanoke that is quiet. There were a few campers in the back end of the lot, including smaller vehicles that stayed over night. No posted signs to discourage overnight car camping.

Spent the night here, no problems. Good Verizon signal.

Really good and cheap fruit and vegetables stands on the side of the road. You don't even have to leave your car ;)
They all sell buckets full for 1 dollar; the time of year we were there lovely mandarins, pineapple, and of course avocado, bananas, etc.

Nice rest stop. Clean bathrooms and has a vending area (we didn't use). There is a great wooded park-like picnic area behind it. We pulled in at midnight and had no problems! Overall quiet as well considering it's a rest stop on the interstate. Feels very safe.

white plastic tap near Diydor/Trastbank. When we were there, a cup was hanging on the tap. So, the water should be fine. Very good pressure.

We arrived in daytime, this place is the main spot for all the villagers to get water, shower, make laundry etc. it is very busy and we were surrounded by people. People are nice though.
After sunset it was very quiet until 6am.

Still a good option. Clean rooms and facilities, warm shower. 1000KES per night. very friendly staff and a calm place indeed. There is a sign on the road saying Supati Gardens. There are no signs on the place itself, but you can ask locals for directions.

Choppies supermarket (fruit, veg, meat, diary, bread). We also tried to register for sim cards here (BTC, mascom, orange). But with none of them we succeeded with our Dutch passports. You might have more luck if you have a different passport.

Surprisingly good rooms for R300. They have a kitchen, rooms are clean. Looks like the even have AC for when it's hot.

We spot 4 gorillas, caluba monkeys, plenty of *gazelles*and birds from the confortable platform in the Baī,
We paid un dollars: 15 entrance fee PP, 30 Baī visita PP, 5 per car.
All in all, great place to see gorillas into the Wild.
Eventhough we prefer our experience tracking gorillas in Campo NP, Cameroon
