:-) After a short hesitation, we also drove against the one-way street. nice and quite place. We were able to take a shower at the Silke hotel. cost: 500,000 rials pP

Report Check-In

Greatly located place. Comparatively very quiet. Entrance from the bell tower. About 250m through the one-way street, then a U-turn around a corner house and you're in the parking lot. Easy to do with BigRig (8x2.4x3.8m). The place is public and does not belong to the hotel.

Report Check-In

We had dinner, which was good but really expensive. The hotel manager and staff is nice but not really friendly, maybe they had a bad day. For good hot showers we had to pay 50.000 Toman per person.

Report Check-In

Relatively quiet on a Tuesday night. We were the only overlanders there at the moment. Just showed passports at the Silk Road hostel and we could sleep in the parking free of charge. Use of toilets also free, showers 500.000 Rial.

Make sure to check the map between the pictures and watch the balcony when making the tight right turn. You have to drive approximately 100 meters in the wrong direction.

Report Check-In

Best place for visiting old town of Yazd! Friendly people, only copy of passport needed. On the evening untill 11 pm very busy, after then absolutely quiet. Had a good night there!

Report Check-In

as described. easy to enter from clock tower at 7am on a Friday. It's an insanely convenient spot but also insanely hot. No breeze at all.it's like living in a clay oven! surprisingly quiet night's sleep

Report Check-In

The owner of the hotel is very nice and speak good English. We could stay in the parking in front of the hotel. We were there during Ramadan, the locals come and park there from 6 to 11pm max. During the night it’s very calm ! We had a nice stay ! We could use the toilet of the hotel very easily and park for free !

Report Check-In

Quiet place and good starting point to visit Yazd

Report Check-In

Confirming what other travelers have described: Quiet parking space, very warm host of the Silk Road Hotel, delicious food, great meeting point with other travelers, clean and easy-to-access restroom facilities

Report Check-In

We stayed two nights on the parking lot of the Silk Road Hotel. It was quiet at night and also the owner of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Using the facilities was very comfortable. We had there a very delicious dinner.

Report Check-In

Everything as described. Owner of the hotel is really nice and offers to use facilities. It's a simple parking lot but quite and save. As central for the old Town as it possibly gets. Currently it's quite dirty as they unload building rubble from a near building site here. At this time of the year now shade whatsoever so the van was baking.

Report Check-In

very friendly atmosphere, meeting point for many travelers.
you can use the WC and shower if you eat in the restaurant.
the staff are very friendly.

nice to be here

Report Check-In

Very good place to stay everything still the same as others mentioned before. We been here with a big rig. (8mx2.5x3.5m) was no big challenge to enter. But you have to drive carefully (there's a balcony right in the corner uphil)

Report Check-In

Ali is a very hospitable and friendly man. There’s a relatively quiet but safe parking spot in front of the hotel. We spent 4 nights here without any hassle. Perfect spot to stay whilst visiting Yazd.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet place to stay in the center of Yazd. Easy to reach when you go from Imam Street into Masjed Jame’s Street (like in the pictures). People are curious (obviously) but not annoying.

Report Check-In

Fantastic location in the old town. Quiet at night. Very kind owners of the Silk Road Hotel with a good philosophy on life; even if you don’t spend any money with them they will offer you to use their toilet and shower. We had delicious dinner there. The prices marked on the menu are without service charge.

Report Check-In

It’s a very nice place in the middle of the Oldtown. You can use the facilities , there is a laundry also. The food is delicious. Ali, the owner, is very friendly. The way to the parking is easy, use the oneway street in the false direction. It’s alloud for tourist and guests. In the evening the parking is complete. Best time to arrive is before 5 pm.

Report Check-In

Not easy to find it an to get there.
Drive against the direction.
if you are at the end, turn and use the second one left.
Watch the balkon and if you hang over go very slow.
If you in the Parking go into Hotel and say hi ;-)

Report Check-In

Nice parking, perfect in middle of centre 300 meters from bazaar. Quest of silkeoad hotel. Breakfast 4 persons 700.000 rial a day. But last days a little annoying locals around the truck.

Report Check-In

Public parking, quiet at night. Stayed here for two nights. People of the hotel are very friendly, the toilet/shower is clean but smelly. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings, and payed 680.000 total (not sure if that was only for breakfast or also for camping). Nice spot to explore the city and meet fellow overlanders

Report Check-In

Central place in Yazd city, yes. But it's not easy to enter or leave if you are a big rig (it's a little carpark used by locals). Maybe are there other great places more appropriate for big rigs.

Report Check-In

Perfect spot and nice meeting place for overlanders. Map works super and no problem to drive into the street. At 3pm no police so no issues. Surprisingly quite at night.

Report Check-In

Everything as already described: great location, nice people, no fee. Food is great!

Report Check-In

All comments are right, but be carefull! All over the day until evenning the parkground is used by domestic people. No Arrival and Departure for big rigs!

Report Check-In

This is a really good spot in the middle of everything. Thanks to the ones who provided the map, it was so helpful! Make sure to arrive before 6pm as it will get very crowded after that. It is indeed surprisingly quiet at night.

Everything is walking distance.

Silk Road hotel staff very nice. Buffet now 500000 rials (meat price going up in Iran right now). Shower at the back with european style toilet :)

Marco Polo restaurant nearby had an amazing terrace view and the food is delicious and fair prices.

Report Check-In

Perfect place to explore Yazd and to meet other overlanders. No fee. Just give a passport copy to the hotel reception and you can enjoy a hot shower.
In the evening you can eat at the hotel restaurant from buffet: camel stew, chicken curry, eggplant stew, salad, sweets, chai, soft drinks (450.000 Rial/person)

Access is a bit tricky, don't try to get there through the old town. We added a map to the photos for better navigation. Don't mind the one-way sign - tourists are allowed to enter wrong way. Best time to arrive: 2 pm - 5 pm

Report Check-In

Friendly staff. The parking is surveyed with video camera. Felt safe. Free Shower/Toilet. Nice Breakfast for 120 000R per Person.

Report Check-In

Not hotel parking, just parking. Not a quiet or secluded place. Location is good though.

We stayed in the hotel because we had our parents over. Good parking in front of the hotel 😁 It’s a bit pricey and breakfast was not good. We had rooms around the small courtyard in the back and they were decent, showers very good, everything very clean too. Lots of rooms face the restaurant and they are bad value (I had to haggle a bit to get the good ones).

Report Check-In

Exactly as everybody said, and they also do laundry (we paid 400‘000 Rials for one load).

Report Check-In

With our 10 tons expedition truck the only way to go there is the one way road to be taken in the reverse direction...we just explained it to the police officer that we were going to silk road hotel and he let us go. Nice location in city centre. Registration at the hotel: parking, shower and toilets for free, breakfast 100'000 rials/person. Welcoming, friendly and clean place.

Report Check-In

perfect place to stay in the citty.
nothing to pay for shower, water and tea.
breakfast 100 000 rial p.p.
quiet at night. but no shade.

with the campervan no chance to drive the way throu the old town. (we tryed because the police stopped us whyle we tryed to enter the one way road. after they are gone and we took this road.

Report Check-In

We paid nothing. Really friendly staff. Just register yourself at the entrance. We asked the policeman nicely if we could take the one way road the opposite way to go to the hostel and he let us pass with a smile.

Report Check-In

a nice place to stay,
for tourists it is aloud to use the one way street in the wrong direction, it's for locals forbidden :-) nobody cares

the food is great and the facilities are very clean
we entered the parking area with our caravan (3.35m high, 6.4m long) without any problems
in the evening are locals parking in this small road next to hotel, then it will impossible to enter the parking area

Report Check-In

please read previous post, access no problem with our Unimog (3,35m high) if you don't mind taking the one way street in the wrong direction for a few meters. Parking is freelance (public). If you eat something in the Silk Road hotel and register yourself they let you use toilet (cleanest i have seen in Iran) and shower.

Report Check-In

Everything has been said, except that you should ONLY try to access the site from the clock tower (GPS below). Tried to be smart and got stuck. No need to wait until it is officially reopened. The locals don't care, nor did I. Also, don't miss sunset on rooftop (Marco Polo or other).

Report Check-In

We also paid nothing for parking but were allowed to use the toilet and shower. The parking is safe, you can leave your car there. A certain area is eaven observed by cameras.

Report Check-In

The main access road from the clock tower (coordinates below) is now closed to traffic 8.30-22.00, guarded by cameras. You can still enter but the police on site (Nowruz crowd control..) told us not to. Unless you have a much smaller car than our Landcruiser, this is the only access road. High clearance is no longer necessary here.
The parking lot is away from the main streets/alleys and remained surprisingly quiet.

Report Check-In

It is a public parking, to enter through really small street. With "normal" ground clearance hard to enter (use the side walk). Hotel is ok, breakfast is ok for 100.000 p.p., but for sure you'll find better and cheaper dinner in town. Wifi almost not really working. Shower is hot and good but in these hardly smelling toilets.....

Report Check-In

Camping in car in car park. Surprisingly quiet through the night but call to prayer will wake you up. Hotel allows you to use facilities and wifi for free. No charge for camping.

Report Check-In

We paid nothing, used the showers and have had breakfast everyday in silk road hotel which was 100.000 Rial per person.

Report Check-In

We paid nothing for parking, ate lunch twice and breakfast once (breakfast at half price: 50,000 rials. The toilets / shower are the smelliest we've had for a while. They stink but are clean, weirdly enough. Open the door wide, put the fan on and flush everything a few minutes before you go in!

Report Check-In

Traveling on the motorcycle, went to check it out. No spots for tents, had to stay in the dorm which is in the basement, dark and dirty. Very unfriendly staff. Charged $15 for 1 night. Got up and left again.

Report Check-In

Great place, good staff and delicious camel stew. Camping on parking, note that parking can be busy till late at night. They didn't charge us for camping but we had breakfast (20t pp). Enter the hotel via this road: 31.899151, 54.371617 they close this road in the afternoon but just wait until they open for you.

Report Check-In

Two nights in parkinglot. Come early as place is busy! Convenient for visiting Yazd. We took diner and breakfast at hotel and did not pay extra for camping and using shower. Great food.

Report Check-In

We just stopped for lunch and they allowed us to use the shower and wifi for free. Great food at good prices. Access to the place is through small tight streets with height restrictions like tunnels and arches. Depending which way you come. Stick to the bigger streets

Report Check-In

Really good place to stay for Overlanders. Hidden in the city close to the old city. Good food wifi place and large parking to park ! The only thing is difficult to access the place for low clearance vehicle

Report Check-In

Camping on the parking of Silk Road Hotel in the old center of Yazd. Nice spot and you can use the facilities of the hotel. Good place to hang out with wifi, toilet shower and good food. Price for camping was 200.000 Rial per night for 2 people incl. shower, toilet and breakfast.

Report Check-In

Parking at public parking in front of hotel. Ablutions inside hotel closed at night. Well known spot for overlanders. Walking distance to town center.
