Lovely spot. One full timer living there who we had a chat with and was nice. Pit toilets and no phone service but you can get service 10 minutes drive back down the road

This is called Cook's Mesa Trailhead on Google Maps. Lots of options for any size rig. Had decent T-Mobile hotspot access. Road bumpy getting in, put no problem going slow.

Stayed here 1 night and had a beautiful sunset. We didn’t have much wind tucked in between the rocks on the side of it

When you get to the pin keep going for another kilometre or so…..you will get there. Stayed here for 4 nights at 28K pp/pn. Small flat area to park and camp in, will fit 3 vehicles (not suitable for big RV’s you won’t get through the narrow gate). Yvette was not on site but she did speak to us on the phone and gave us a warm welcome. The common spaces are wonderful, fully equipped kitchen, huge table to eat at/work at, nice inside lounge area and great covered patio with furniture, table and hammocks. Really enjoyed the hot showers. 25K one way to take a Willys jeep into town.

Firstly, the pin is wrong but it is worth the effort of looking up Helena Adentro on Google maps and going, we had one of the best meals we’ve had so far on our trip. Ordered 3 dishes, 2 drinks, 2 desserts and 2 coffee’s and paid about 200K ($50US). Everything we had was unique and tasted amazing, the views, atmosphere and service were also wonderful. If you are in this area don’t miss this stop it is worth every penny.

Brazil --> Bolivia in Chile plated car

- Migration very easy, left hand side immediately driving through boarder
- Aduana slow but very friendly and professinal. Checked cars in the car park, VIN etc, but straightforward. NOTE: They made a comment that travelling with a Poder (not Padron) for a Chile plate is significantly more complicated for Aduana (possibly not even able to cross); so be aware of that
- Circulation paper: No one mentioned this until we went to drive out the Aduana, when a man in the car park told us to go and get one. We then groaned (having read the messages below), but went to the Police office to get one. The friendly police officer created the circulation document... and then didn't ask for money! Bizarre based on previous comments! UPDATE: We have been asked to show the Circulation document

All very odd, but definitely try to not pay...

I didn't sleep here, but spent the day for $3500 pp. The surroundings are really nice and the campground is well maintained. To consider, in low season there is no WiFi. Besides there is zero cellular signal in the area, so unless you have starlink will be completely disconnected. Also, because of the low season water is enabled on request. I understand that it is to avoid freezing, but they could enable it during the day and not having to ask for it. I strongly recommend doing the "cabeza de indio" (indian's head) hiking.

Looks like a great spot, but the guy has 6 dogs and was worried about fights with my dog, so I could stay. Dude was super friendly. Wish I could have stayed.

Kinda loud from nearby hotel and partying in the area. Not too bad unless you’re a light sleeper. Area is well lit. Free from 3-9 am. Pay up to 3 hours at a time before and after that.

Nice little dead end side road right off the main highway. We were the only ones there overnight. Didn’t hear much road noise. Pretty level.

Dormimos bien acá, frente a la entrada del parque de las naciones. un poco ruidoso y algunos autos vinieron de noche con música y pistear en la avenida pero es zafa pese al ruido. no hay baños ni otras comodidades solo estacionamiento.

Good spot, accessible with 2wd vehicles. We managed to find relatively flat spot. Located at less than 30 min of the Grand Canyon Visitor Center (south rim).

Great place to stay with lots of space and beautiful. Very few people the first weekend of May. Updated pictures show the layout and the prices, which have gone up. Water/electric is $35. No hook ups is $28.
Maintenance guy says it’s starts getting busy the second weekend of May.

Large parking lot on the left heading toward Lands End. Motor homes not allowed, additionally no vehicles over 20 feet. You can park overnight, the sign says no camping, we stayed 2 nights in our converted transit van with no issues. Services are limited until the first weekend in May.

We were deeply disappointed from this camping. 355.- pp for a sandy spot under trees and a disappointing view on a liveless half dry river arm is far too expensive. The pool is a large bathtub. The whole lodge/camp gave us a heartless impression. The owners and staff were burnt out. Just doing their job. After a stay in the Mobola Island Camp this was a very big disappointment.

Really Nice spot. We where there on a thursday night, it was a warm Day, the beggining of the spring season. Lots of people hanging out in the park until late (still a few guys chatting near the parking lot between 11PM and midnight). Also a few tents (homeless people) in the park, but we still felt safe. We had a great night.
The park is Really beautiful at sunset, it’s Really worth it. Spigot available to fill bottles (not RV tank), and toilets open from May to October.

Recomendo.

Thony mechanical workshop, here the guys are beasts, they make adaptations in old cars, pickup trucks and disel vehicles, I came to do maintenance on my motorhome and as it was not ready I spent 1 night with the motorhome at the door of the workshop. I recommend it. Saying it was Léo's recommendation from the channel, I'm not from here, there's a discount. Thony is very nice, friendly and polite, as he is also a traveler and is building a camper, he is very helpful in helping. I recommend

Brand new dump is now on the left as you enter the campground. It is a nice 4 laner. It was not yet open because of cold nights in the mountains still in early May, so best to call early in the season to make sure it is open.

Enter Russia // Exit Georgia

The border crossing took over 5 hours in total. Everybody was very friendly, but you’ll need a lot of patience for this one :p First, we had a switch of shifts, which left us waiting for 45 min, afterwards it was really hard to get our documentation stamped. Make sure you immediately stand at the correct booth! Waited over an hour, to be told at our turn: no english paper.

Not nessecaly extremely steep in my opinion but mainly a long stretch. Make sure you lose a lot of engine brake and when you brake, brake firmly and let the brake go so they cool a bit. Never continue to be on the pedal the whole way, that will overcoock the brakes without needing to!

Very steep decline! 10.20792, -84.30793

Newly rebuilt campground that looks fantastic. Well designed for easier back-in, and a few pull throughs.

Water spigots available but no hose bibs that I saw.

Will handle larger rigs in some sites. Verizon and T-Mobile are weak.
