Gualts | Spot right next to the Lake. Unfortunately due to the drought the lake was dried up. Still a nice spot and decided to stay two days. This spot is in the open (not hidden) with plenty of farmers walking cattle past during the day. Some locals came to chat throughout the day, no issues. |

moto-momentum | Here you can enter Snake Canyon, offroad, down to the villages Bald Sayd and Bima. I would advice only 4WD and experienced (motorbikers). It get seriously steep after approx 1km and not easy or not even possible to turn around as one lane only!
Check prior contourlines on equivilant apps if you consider to try your luck. However, fantastic view over the valleys from here, 2000m altitude. Looks like building a cafe shop. |

Cinquentões na Estrada (Marcia &Marco) | 24-hour gas station, safe place, but a little noisy, as there are a lot of trucks. a very complete place with a convenience store, pharmacy, hairdresser, restaurant, clean bathrooms, showers that you can get for free if you fill up, or 10 reais per person.

roamingabout.com | Fair for a night but it's pretty loud and busy for most of the night. Also since there is no bathroom here, the area just next to the station is a giant toilet and pretty disgusting. At times the smell of burning brakes gets pretty strong. Personally I would not stay here again as there a better places going to Argentina before you hit the border station further from the road and not as gross. We bought 15 liters of fuel and they has no issues with us staying the night. |

roamingabout.com | Water is still available and indeed the best pressure we have seen in a long time. Quick stop to fill the tanks before crossing. Plenty of room for any size rig to pull over. Tienda appears closed so no one to ask. |

moderatefrown40 | Decent enough for one night. Paid 45,000 Tzs for a Double Room - though he first asked for 60,000 Tzs. Reduced only when we said we’d look somewhere else. Room is clean though smelling strongly of some kind of cleaning detergent. Toilet was leaking. Cold shower only. |

Jamie Z | Great budget place to stay. CLP$15,000 for a single with shared bathroom. Private bathroom costs CLP$25,000. Friendly owner. Tiny kitchen. Small fridge. Two-burner stove. No oven. Plates and cups available. Wifi is slow. The lady will do a load of laundry (wash, dry, and fold) for CLP$5000. Parking is available a few blocks away for CLP$2000 (moto). She offered that I could park the moto inside the hallway, but it's a tight fit. If you have a small bike, it's an option. |

white_troopy | We stayed one night and paid 40r for two people and a Land Cruiser. Lots of space. Flat. Electric and quiet at night. There’s a short little hike to a waterfall. If you’re a climber this looks like your spot. Bolts in the wall by the waterfall. Saw ropes, helmets etc in the “lobby.” There’s a fireplace inside and we had the beers and burgers, both of which were good…… |

Elinam | IF POSSIBLE, TEST YOUR FILLED BOTTLE BEFORE LEAVING THIS PLACE. The filling of our Canadian 5 kg (11 lb) propane bottle was done quickly. However, when we began to cook we were not able to open the on/off-handle as it was extremely tight for an unknown reason. They did something wrong when filling up our bottle. We tried to open it several times but gave up. Next morning we went back to the office. The guy first tried to open the handle by hands but could not open it. He went away for a moment to work with the bottle. He did get it open and it seems to work now but the handle is not like it was before, it’s more stiff. Before this we have not had any problem with filling our bottle in the Americas. |
