Great spot for a hot shower with good pressure, at a great price.

The park was still closed for the season, or maybe because we arrived too late at night. Parked on the large gravel parking lot. Quiet and peaceful with roosters heard in the distance in the morning. Nice view of the mountains. Almost in town, but off the major roads

Next to the mirador, nice platform with wonderful view on the Huanca valley. Quiet. The place where to park is on the right side of the staircase to the mirador. Don’t stay on the side of the road (coordinates).

On the road to Huanca and Lluta, one hour from Arequipa downtown, big platform on the side of main (trucks) road. Don’t stay next to the road, lot of dust. If you have a 4WD, jump to the top of the hill (coordinates). Traffic during the day. Quiet during the night. Claro signal.

Nice and open area. After two weeks with no rain the road is in good condition. A lot of big rigs here. Verizon with two bars. Highly recommended.

Campsite next to a big pond, where you can catch tilapias and some shrimps, really nice people around, there’s a church next to the campsite.

Nice spot. Great views of the surrounding mountains. Some highway noise, but inaudible in an RV when wearing earplugs. There's about 2 or 3 distinct "spots" here, but if you could get 4 to 6 groups in here while still having some privacy. I had it to myself when I came. To get here: exit I84 at the Pleasant Valley exit and go up Hixon Rd about 3/4 mile. It will be on your left. Exact lat/long coordinates are listed here.

Nice, flat, spacious park up spot right by the ocean. Toilets and picnic area- good for an overnight.

Huge parking place, with river beside. Nice view. It is inside a small village, the road is narrow with lots of tree (branches are quite low). Our van is around 3m high, and we have minor scratches, just have to slow down to protect the roof/solar.

It’s not a 4x4 road to get here. It’s easily accessible by anyone (BLM 6645). Tricky getting level but it’s a beautiful spot. Quiet, isolated and gorgeous surroundings. Very hot late afternoon and 94 degrees still at 5:45, even in April.

Checked in here was super excited but some sketchy things going on. Gonna head out. Showers are awesome super hot super clean awesome spot but the vibe just let out so on the road again. Happy trials yall stay safe. Always trust your gut instinct

Just a gravel parking area with fantastic view over the valley and mountains. Good place for the border crossing. Next to the road but quiet at night. Locals come to watch the sunset.
When you park on the edge the road doesn't bother at all.

It's a large grassy area with a great view, pit toilets, and no light polluting the sky. I recommend !

Best to follow the track to Camping Badoudou here, all the other tracks are very small and overgrown. Loads of Cashew Trees in the area! Sadly you see the buildings of Badoudou at the spot, it seems abandoned but in the evening there were some people. This spot is directly at the river, if you try to find another spot nearby it’s not directly at the river… nevertheless a nice spot, no noise & easy swimming!

Internet with Orange is working very well!

Beautifully overlooking the Gambia River! It’s a little above the river but you can easily walk the few metres down and go for a swim. Many birds and some locals passed by during the day, all very friendly and not curious. The sun sets behind the mountain, so the scorching sun disappeares a little earlier than usually.

The track leading here can easily be seen on Satellite view. It’s quite narrow and only passable for normal car sized vehicles. Some light scratches possible.

Local children also went for a swim and then curiously passed by our spot, we had a short chat, all very friendly and respectful. Water is still sweet water here :)

Great campsite. EHU working. We stayed in our roof tent. Very very windy, exposed location at high altitude and it rained so decided to move on as did another roof tent camper. But if no wind great campsit

Really don't recommend unless you only care about price. My room was dirty, bedsheets questionable. Full of mosquitoes, no mosquito net. The WiFi didn't work. 11,000 for a room with fan. I left the next day to go find somewhere nicer.

All the interesting stuff is starting at the old lodge. Nice 4km trail that leads to cool rock pools and formations. The staff is useless, so you are on your own to figure it out, no map of the park available. Lots of brand new buildings, but no one around.

Flush toilets, but bring your own paper 😀. Free condoms. Views are absolutely amazing. Definitely one of those “This is Africa” moments…

The road to Quacha is Formula 1 quality. Best I’ve ever seen. To go from Matebeng Pass to this perfect road is beyond comprehension.

This bridge collapsed 3 days ago due to heavy floods. Only way to cross Katavi is the eastern road to Kizi.

as described. 5000 for parking, possible to stay overnight. they have toilets you can use and there is even a shower. we didnt ask if we can use the shower. if you go to the back there is less light. enterance from the west, our navigation sent us from the other side and that road is permanently closed off amd made into pedestrian zone.

we asked the guy at the enterance who has been working here over 30 years if we can stay over night. he said it is not possible any longer because managment changed. so we went to Karbala. otherwise a really sweet and friendly guy - offers you water, you can charge devices there and there is also a shower I bet he would let you use it

Its a parking lot surrounded with gras. We've been here by bicycle and two Tents and had very much space. A View Vans also sleeped here. A bit of view over the beach to the Sea.

Came here after being booted from the bridge. 3 rv spots, and some other areas to park right by entrance. Walmart lot was very busy, and not huge, but i got diesel at murphy.
