In a rather difficult wildcamp area is this a nice opportunaty. Parking at the forest, just a few dogwalker came by. No "No Camping" signs, had a quiet night. Area perfect for hiking and biking.

Large parking lot looking out over the canal. So signs saying you can’t park overnight. A fair number of cars coming and going until about 11pm. Somewhat noisy overnight due to the lock machinery going on and off.

This place is so cute, it’s beautiful right now super green, super humid too but worth it, sign said no vacancy but drove right in and called the # provided on one of the camp spots, paid $12 for a basic camping spot, looks like they have showers, they have restrooms and many different spots to set up at some with power as well for rigs, it’s ran by a man and his wife, super nice guy named jeff, I recommend it!

Tons of parking spaces here. It was pretty busy because of Memorial Day - lots of picnics - but a relatively peaceful and pretty spot. I found a spot near a picnic table and portapotty.

One of the few legit places near Glenwood Springs. It was pretty quite for us after memorial day weekend. The hill is steep and windy but was well graded. There was service traffic for the top of the gondola. A good place to stage if you are visiting the town or the hot springs.

Water tap around back, good for filling jugs of water but probably won’t work if you need to fill a tank with a hose (unless you have a 60ft + hose).

This park is a great spot to hang out for a few hours before spending the night at the Pemex at the south end of town. It’s a bit scrappy but it’s tidy and free of garbage! There’s 2 small concrete pools to cool off in or Wade in up to your knees!
It would be a perfect little campground but the manager says it’s not monitored at night time so “ bad people could get in” we think it would be fine but rules are rules.
It’s open 9 am - 9 pm and costs 50 Mx per carload up to 5 people.

Beautiful lodge directly by the lake and by the beach. Perfect to enjoy the village life. Nice garden with loungers and pool overseeing the lake . Double rooms and family cottage. Paid 50$ for the family cottage for 4. Ideally located on the middle if the village. Perfect for those who like to read a book quietly and relax, and then who want to enjoy the village and nearby restaurants, curio shops, seeing craftsmen carving wood, organize boat and snorkeling trips to nearby islands or even scuba dives. Such a nice atmosphere there.

A car park scenic overlook spot surrounded by trees on one side and an earth bank and opportunity for sun on solar panels on the other.
Just off Highway 23 but yet lovely and peaceful with very little noise from traffic.

The entrance was closed while there but we camped in a camper van in the big parking lot at the start of some trails and there are toilets there. We saw 5 mooses. The gate appeares to open on June 15.

Decent enough to stop & nice people, we were tired so just wanted place to rest plus laundry, showers etc. not big on scenery but as a way point ok. Clean if not a little tired but perfectly ok. Restaurant simple but the better for it. Indian interpretive center just up the road worth a stop. Note a month later when we came south site was 90% flooded!! Late spring floods were really bad this year, where we camped at back of site was 5ft under water.

I think everyone needs to understand the difference in ‘camping’ and ‘parking’ - camping means doing something OUTSIDE of your vehicle, parking means parking. Here there are no overnight CAMPING signs on the park side obviously meaning don’t set up your tent. You can park here in your van/whatever so long as you are adhering to the 3 hour parking signs. 8am-6pm, there is a 3 hour parking sign. There are vans etc all over Portway. On a side note, I wish we could all come to an understanding as to what the differences in “camping” and “parking” are lol
