I stayed here for the night and it was fine, but I woke up to a piece of paper on my windshield that said “Please be advised that this parking lot is the private property of Walmart and reserved for temporary customer parking only. Beginning June 5, vehicles that are left here overnight will be ticketed/towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.” So I wouldn’t park here again and would advise others to find a different location.

very nice overnight stop to break up the drive. friendly owners, clean toilets and good restaurant. night is quiet, some trucks may pass by.

Many long gravel pullouts along the lakeshore just past the dam. There are also many established campgrounds up the road but we opted to stay in our van next to the lake. Hardly any traffic after 9 pm. Other campers doing same.

R$ 50 p.p. Beautiful view, excellent facilities.

Very nice CG with great people running it. It isn’t cheap. I believe I paid $100 with taxes (check that ) but it’s near I-40 , the town of Black Mountain and also Asheville - about 15 minutes. There are some pull through for big rigs. Power / water / dog park area. Really chill vibe.

beware that even light rain can create slick conditions for anything off the good gravel road.

A piece of road washed out but found a nice spot tucked in by the river. Did not pay as didn’t know how and had no cell service.

Local restaurant on the main street. Super friendly chef Willy. Opened 3 months ago but already popular.

Showers are now $10 per person. Towels provided.

Slept one night here. You have to register at the security and you can sleep 2 nights for free.
Much safer to sleep here than in the city.

I've been travelling for more than 5 year so far, and this is one of the best (if not the best) hostel I've ever been. The place itself is amazing, good vibes and beautiful courtyard, fast wifi and a well needed external air conditioning system which will save your life during the hottest day. safe parking for your motorbike and a very good breakfast. dorms are more like "large private rooms", with normal and comfortable beds.
but the biggest plus is the owner, moshen, a joyful and full of energy man which will help you in any possible way. he also speaks a very good English.
definitely recommend for a long stay. I went there for 2 nights, I ended up staying 8 nights 😅

Agree with previous comment, beautiful spot and quiet. It is one of our favorite dispersed campsite.

The place is Closed until june 18th. We are 3 RV in a splendid free place.

Person at the front desk said they're only doing $15 day passes now instead of $2 showers. Bummer bc the showers were really nice.

Very nice parkingspot next to the river. Very quiet also at night.
There is also a restaurant.

Spots for vans and RV’s on the back. There were 4 cars parked. I asked manager and got an ok. Had breakfast in the morning. Mostly quiet after 10pm.

We had planned to stay the night, but there are now “no overnight camping” signs in the RV pull off areas, so we did not stay. The Visitor’s Center was closed, so we could not clarify.

30$ beaucoup trop cher pour un simple vaste espace gazonné. Mon conseil, allez vous stationner gratuitement sur l’avenue Royale face a l’ancien monastère sur l’avenue Royale. Beaucoup plus tranquille car c’est bien moins bruyant. La circulation sur le boulevard est infernale. Vous pourriez de là visiter le quai et les attraits adjacents au camping.

Gourmet Cheese shop and restaurant on hacienda where cheese is made. Must have reservation to tour the hacienda. Delicious gourmet international cheese in their tienda.

Beautiful place to camp. Pretty perfect, actually.

Restaurant very close to highway but we didn’t mind. Clean, well lit and there’s a little pond with a walk way around it at the back.

Street parking next to El Dorado Beach. Bathroom and water fountain nearby. There are no parking signs. Stayed here for one night in my small SUV. It was quiet and no one bothered me. Unsure of what people might think of big vans here so be careful.

Be warned driving up the hill is not for the faint for heart if you don’t have 4WD and high clearance. We made it up in our minivan when the road was washed out but gritted our teeth the whole way up. The most we got was two bars of Verizon.

This place is permanently closed.

There is no overnight parking or camping on any Wyoming state trust land
