Boat launch into Lady Evelyn Smoothwater Provincial Park. There's a handful of crownland camping spots in the area that are big enough for larger RVs.

Nice and quiet place for a night. Just some noise from de road (ruta 40). Awesome view from de lake and mountains around. We spent 2 pleasent nights with 2 other couples of friends.

Quiet. Still good. Very residential so subtlety and quiet is key. As others mentioned close to the beach.

Excellent local food at a local price. Perfect for those who want to try homemade food. It is a simple restaurant, small but you feel treated like a king.

wow, what a shit show. Long term parking lot residents, people doing donuts in their loud cars, fighting, and shooting off fireworks? all night. I would definitely stay away from this place if at all possible.

Stayed one night but no other overlanders here so I was a little nervous. Parked behind the big conexes just to be safe. Overall a good experience.

This spot now has a For Sale sign on it and also a new looking house across the road. It is no longer marked as trailhead parking. We chose to not stay.

Clean, comfortable enough and seems secure, as others all noted before. $20 for a room, breakfast included. Secure underground parking for cars and motos. Can’t see how you could beat it in a border town…

Awesome place! Recently built. Nice pool, chill area, shared kitchen, safe parking. Not for big rigs. Owned by Jay and Eva, a friendly couple from Canada and Argentina. What a great place and what a great guy Alejandro is.
We stayed here a couple of days after crossing from Colombia while we made some repairs and improvements in our van. They were overloaded with work at overlander embassy so Alejandro got someone else to help us. Good job and fair price.

There is space to park/sleep, kitchen, bathrooms, wifi, etc. for free and everything else you need to buy/rent for your trip. And if it's not there, Alejandro gets it for you.

Overlander Embassy really feels like its name says. And Alejandro really goes all the way to make you feel at home. He even took us to a party and showed us a bit of the city.
"I really want you get a first good impression of Panama" he said. Mission accomplished!

Parking on the waterfront Intermares Beach. Close to supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants. Negotiate water and electricity with the turtle's tent. we stayed three nights. Safe and peaceful.

This rest area allows overnight parking. Stayed one night with several other vehicles in lot, larger rigs in the back. Large restrooms, clean water fountains and plenty of bending machines. A bit noisy at times since it’s right off of the I69 . No issues, felt safe

Came in too late for the camping place inside the National Park, so they let us stay at the parking lot of the military station opposite the National Park entrance building. Directly at Lake Sac-Nab. No amenities, but free and well guarded :-)

Amazing campground, run on donation basis by a wonderful warm hearted gentelman Bob. Hot showers, laundry, kitchen. Designed for cyclists, but they open doors to other people as well. A true gem.

According to posted information boards, much of the crater is a camping/caravan area. There seems to be no facilities though. Take the left fork in the down road near the crater floor—as this road goes northeast, you’ll see a less used track heading directly north to the former lake bed—in September this track had some 1m tall thistles growing on it. The former lake bed has very little vegetation and is flat—tents would be ok except soon after rain. This area is the furthest away from all of the few small farm buildings—we didn’t see anyone, but grazing sheep came by at 7am as they were circling the inside crater wall rather high up. Since this is the lowest point in the crater, expect cool nights, 9C night September 5. While the area without much vegetation may be under water after heavy rains, this is only a very small part of the crater floor.

No Rv parking allowed. Signs give suggestion of another Rv park.

Pretty large turnout with great view of the ocean through the forest, several cars did drive by and one stopped by in the morning to aggressively tell us we weren’t allowed to camp here. No signs saying that, so we would definitely stay again for the views

Really loved this place, great vibe, awesome instructors. It was one of the few pet friendly places and the only dive school (as far as I know) that allowed our dog on the property. We did our advanced course here with Jessie, highly recommend. We enjoyed the wreck dive the most.

Nice open area on the sea. Solace in the lapping of waves, such a calming effect. Quiet, no other people here. Time for a restful sleep

There is a water filling spot just in front of express car wash. Low pressure but i filled my 200l water tank in 25minutes.
