We came here for some emergency repairs whilst driving through Namibia. John was very knowledgeable and helped us straight away that afternoon as well as the following morning. Not expensive for the labour and very pleasant to deal with

Delightful place to stop overnight before crossing the border. Luis and Perhla are such lovely hosts! Both are bi-lingual so if you don’t speak Spanish you will still be able to easily communicate with them. Friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were spotless and cute with watering cans as the shower spigot. They provided shampoo and body wash too. The view was beautiful! Electric hookup available. Price was the same regardless of whether or not you use it. $600 pesos. Very peaceful evening. We will definitely be back!

Heading toward Zion-your left turn is about 5 miles from Mt Carmel Junction. Look for the yellow No Passing sign on left. Great place, enter second road on left-first one is very rutted, lots of space and secluded options as well, 10 min from entrance to Zion, quiet and beautiful. Broken paved road on the way but it smooths out. Cell service.

Paid parking lot near Cheeseman Park. It’s employee parking between between 6 a.m. and 6 PM Monday through Fridays. But you can park here in the evenings and all weekend for a fee. No signage saying no camping so just be stealth. I stayed in my 22 foot coachman van with a mountain bike on the back took up a little more than one space but the lot was pretty empty. there were a couple other vehicles in the lot but no one else camping. 24 hour fee on a Friday night was $20. I think it’s $10 if just stay for 12 hours.

Old hotel but our room was comfortable.
No AC no fan but good air circulation in our room.
440 pesos /night for a couple, for a matrimonial bed.
Our room had a tiny window, some don't apparently.
Clean though a smell of cigarette lingered.
Very nice attendant.
Shower really hot and nice with a window.
Many rooms. Quiet hotel.
Parking in the street with meter (free at night).
Check out 10:30 AM.
Fast and steady internet.
Had 2 fresh towels and soap in the room (many hotels give one towel for 2).
Front parking spots benefit from hotel cameras but felt safe overall.

1 ground floor + 3 with no elevator.

We overland by car from California to Costa Rica over 2.5 years.
Next: Costa Rica to Argentina and back to the US on bicycles.

A correction to the amenities Dogwood does have a dump station that you pay to dump at the entrance/exit of the park.

Exactly as described. Had a moose stop by yesterday and the fire pit is still here. The odd vehicle can be heard but nothing like a major highway. Can see garbage has been left by others unfortunately.
