Easy spot to get into at mile marker 99. As others have said, it's a huge gravel area with lots of flat camping spots. Dump and water are up the road at the long-term campgrounds and cost $70 for the entire summer. You need to move every 14 days, but you don't need to move far.

Great spot overlooking Point Peak. Stayed the night and only saw one other person about a mile out. No wind today, was the perfect night.

Showers (for anyone camping elsewhere) is $5/person.

Hay un baño completo, con agua fría la ducha y dentro de la reducción hay un dispenser con agua caliente y fria (la reducción esta abierta de 7 a 18) también wifi libre.
Un gran lugar para frenar y descansar inmersos en la paz de la naturaleza y la historia.

A good place to visit for the viewpoint, for interest, and if you would like to support local enterprise.
The camp or site itself is small, the lounge and bar cute and cozy. Everything has been resourcefully and creatively made from local materials.

Single campsite on point/overlook. NFS dispersed camping. From Hwy 12, take FSR 451 Elk Meadows Rd, then 2160 to the left. Nice single spot on point with great views. Somewhat level. Fire ring. Slept good with sound of rushing river not far. Low to mild traffic on road. Suitable for 2WD van or car.

Spent the night with no issues. Parked along a busy road. Went quite quiet once Walmart closed at 11p. Put StarLink dish on toad hood & had great reception all night. There is a RBC ATM machine in the Calgary Co-Op parking lot next door that charges $3/transaction & no surcharge.

Same parking lot of Wal-Mart. on both places un can parki for overnight. Secure and advantage location.

Nice factory with store of handmade leather shoes. The shoes are famous for the region and carry a long history with the missionary.

Big, modern gas station outside of town. Very convenient, no queue and sin factura we paid 6bols per liter for diesel. We definitely recommend..

A hidden gem for discreet overnight parking. Parked our van for the night with no issues. Woke up to A LOT of snow. Be prepared. This area is high in elevation. Snow subsided once we headed towards Colorado Springs.

Small wooden Hut attached to a car wash. We paid 6000 Ruble for three months . The lady also sells SIM cards. We were able to pay in Dollars and got the change in Rubles.

Incredible hike, maybe the best we've done in south america. You're surrounded by these giant mountains all the way up and we found this awesome. Do not spoil you with photos, you will not regret it.

$20 fee now. Easy to find a site even on a Saturday night. Clean flush bathrooms with showers.

Wetlands might be a better description of this place but I got in and out just fine in my non-lifted AWD Sienna on AT tires. Path to site has many large potholes of water as it just rained a day or two ago. Lots of bugs at all times.

Had 1-2 bars of Verizon and LTE all night and had no issues loading stuff on my phone.

Pig farm that allows camping in their garden in exchange for some shopping in their farmshop.
We bought eggs, super delicious ham and sausages and a homemade soup/stew. Bring bread and your dinner is set!

THIS is the correct location. Nice hostel with 2 friendly hosts, Eduardo and Mauricio. Rooms (already a little run down) in 2nd floor are nice with a nice view to the parks around. We could use the (not very clean) kitchen for boiling water and preparing our breakfast. Eduardo is very helpful. 1 fenced parking lot, good for a car or 2-3 motos. Walking distance (5min) to Carulla Supermarket and other shops/banks/ATMs. Walking distance (30 min) to our garage (KTM Powershop). We left most of our luggage here to leave the country for about 2 months and payed 1 night extra(100000 cop) for the storage. Safe and very quiet place. +57 311 2121599

vraiment un bel endroit! Très tranquille. Electricité gratuite. Un homme nous offre de nous apporter jusqu'au casino en kart de golfe et le casino offre une carte cadeau de 10$ et des lunettes de soleil ou porte-clé au personne qui y vint pour la première fois. Nous avons vraiment aimés cet endroit. Grand terrain. Les enfants pouvaot courrir partout.
