Great place. During my visit there was sadly no access to the water, as the beach has a quicksand-like character. Otherwise very beautiful and calm.

Decent store with a lot of different products. Many different types of engine oil from Germany, Japan, oil filters and a lot of accessories like car Jack's, batteries, toolkits. Friendly owner, no English.

Quiet rest area behind the Öresund Bridge with public toilets that are cleaned daily and open 24 hours a day.

Cheap modern hotel, directly at the sea. We paid 30€ for a big twin bed room. Everything was very clean and the hotel is kind of fancy. No breakfast included. We could park our 2 motorcycles in the underground garage. In front of the hotel are restaurants and a supermarket. Totally recommended.

As mentioned a great place. They charged me 20k. Claro cell signal get touchy when it started to rain in eve. Property has restaurant too where you can eat. Up the drive on the right Hotel Rio Bravo lobby has a wifi(slow) y ou can go n use it.

Nice place. Some road noise, no Verizon phone service. Pretty buggy but moreso little flies and some mosquitos. A few spaces for various pull offs, we were in the big circle pull out on the right when you come in. Easy access

Update for June, 2024: still a great place to camp for the night or a few days, with good access to Sciliar, Alpe di Suisi and other natural features. The charge has increased to a base fee of 20 Euros, which you pay at the bar of Sporthutte restaurant. If you each at the restaurant (bill at least 20 Euros), they take off 10. So still a good deal. The parking setting is great, with the Sciliar peaks looming over the hill.

- Clean hot showers for 800
- Washing machine and dryer for 2000 each. Dryer doesn’t work very well
- WiFi available in the restaurant
- We stayed behind the restaurant along the small road. Some trucks passing by but still a good night.

- Warm shower for 1500
- Only one really dirty shower for ladies
- 4 ‘clean’ showers for men
- We didn’t stay overnight

Road block been going on a while. Bring lots of change for the smaller road blocks and be willing to pay off and argue to cross, or go around the south of amboro.

The first spit at the lagoon was to steep … Here was it quite too. No traffic at night.

Definitely the road less travelled!

Set up my tent in an abandonned house (ruins, really) 10m from the road. Nice sheltered place, hardly visible from the road, superb view on the jungle and the valley. Downside is that there is no water in the surrounding 100m, at leastin the dry season.

If you’re travelling by car there are plenty of options to park just 1km North, in the mini town of Pucayacu.

Exactly as described . A huge relief to get away from a Hwy rest area between train tracks and Hwy 1.

Big campground. Very very crowded and it’s early in the season still. Clean bathrooms but not many around. Power only at sites. Water and dump station available though. Good location for lakes
