this is a small footh page bypass for stonehendge. for all of you who wants to save 30$ can park nearby (be sure to come only from A303) and take this footpath to come close to stonehendge for free. you can also park/overnight here to see the sunset or sunrise. the free path is directly next to the bus lane between to fences. its official free, so dont be afraid!

This is a beautiful road! Or at least we think so ‘cause we almost couldn’t see a damn thing in the mist and rain 😅 we were happy to have the 4x4, some parts were extremely slippery and big ruts, so just handy to not get stuck. But it’s doable without, just be very careful after heavy rain!

Great hotel! We got room for a 17$ on booking. It was clean, new, the staff was so friendly. He was so excited that he saw our fiat multipla 😂
Secure parking - we are 2.25 m high and 2 m wide. If you are higer Its ok but not wider.
The reception is 24/7 we arrived 22:30 and it was fine.

They were checking speed and saying we were driving to fast. Absolutely not and they seem to target mostly tourists...

Batakundi, perfectly placed before you start to climb up to higher altitudes. 2740 m just a perfect stop for acclimatizing.
Clean, family driven place.

Huge supermarket with anything you need. Parking available but also you can park on the street all over the place. Normal prices at the store and there are a lot of other supermarkets in the town too.

We parked on the top part, very nice and quiet with some fire pits, so it's probably a popular place.

Very nice spot, you have to cross a small river but no problem with 4wd.
Quiet, huge, nice views and river sound to fall asleep.

Fantastic lunch with wine tasting.
500 N$ pP, takes about 2h, very worth the time and money.
No camping here possible, but 3km away at the other winery.

Not opened any more. People are coming 1 time a week from Tsumeb if you call in advance.
InTsumeb the customs opened every day.

Easy and friendly procedure for extending our visa. We had printed the sheet before in town and filled out everything, we know.
The officer were gelpful and after 30 Min. we had the new stamps in pur passports.

Very friendly, helpful and professional workshop run by two brothers. Communication in English works perfectly fine. We also where able to sleep in our van during the repair works (injector issues) and fill up our water. Cold beverages available in the gas station next door.

Pull chain shower, works great. Good alternative if the shower on 19th is out of service

For vehicles like car or van, there is a safe parking spot, ok for one night.

very interesting place. big asphalt area at the boat launch. The other roads and space around here do not look taken care of at all. lots of overgrowth. yet some mowing has been done in the last month. lots of everything here is run down. two small vault toilets. both in extreme disrepair.
windy as heck. but that is a norm here I'm sure. saw one car of people come in. Just looking at the river
