A good spot to stay in the island, it's a dead end road, very nice people around who said it is a safe spot walking distance to everything, the supermarket La Torre is close, you can walk around the island very quickly as it is very small, the water there is not good for swimming, many boats and plants there, but you can go to a pier to get inside, we didn't as we felt the water there is no the cleanest as it is really close to a big city.

This is a really nice spot right by the river. There’s a campground right next to it and pretty clean with a porta potty in the vicinity. No one cares if you stay there over night. We’ve stayed two without anyone batting an eye. I will say to be careful of the mayflies during the summer in the fields near the swing sets.

Not all the dryers heat up to the hot setting. I used $0.25 at a time until I found out which ones actually worked. Washers seemed to work fine and reasonably priced at $3.50 a wash

Did a revision of my drive shaft here. I had all the spare parts. Good job for 200 pesos he only has space for small cars. So not really a mechanic but a specialist for CV joint, and drive shaft.

If you go to the free parking or overflow lot, walk past pools towards lower campground. you can then go onto the gravel path that goes to the river (may have to bypass a sign that says stop and at own risk). Follow the river about 0.5 mikes down and there are ok uke warm hot spring pools on the right across from river. water comes from radium hot springs resorts. up to a few feet deep

Bought Motul chain cleaner and chain lube here. They also have a great moto mecanic called Rogerio who is also an Overlander and has done South America for two years. He speaks French and Portuguese and can understand some Spanish. Really nice guy.

We stayed further down by the road rather than climbing up the hill in our 29’ RV…like most of the posts say, bigger rigs should stay closer to the main gravel road in as the paths off the road are potentially capable of becoming mud traps. Most other spots along the road were already grabbed up however that’s likely because it’s just a few days before July 4th and I imagine many people are trying to find camp before the holiday hits! Very quiet and 1 bar LTE AT&T

Several spots to choose from, we went to end of road to the spot with best views. Great views, very quiet with lots of bird song. A little highway noise at a distance, especially when large vehicles cross cattle guard. Spot is visible from highway, but at a distance.

THE BEST it’s of meat in this city! It’s a little pricey at 150.000 Guarani per person, but so worth it. Every plate was delicious! ENJOY!!

We did not camp her, but it is beautiful and there is tons of space for camping. The gravel road that this is on is a shortcut that saves 100+ kms when traveling from cocla canyon to cotahuasa canyon - we were so glad that a driver told us about it . It is not marked by signs but the road is in ok condition .

This travel track saves 100+kms when traveling feo. Cotahuasi to colca. Beautiful road in decent condition. Mostly fine for 4x2 but may present a couple obstacles like 1m deep stream crossings. Beautiful!

As described. Grass area has recently been mowed - not sure I'd set up a tent as other described but there is plenty of room to do it. Stayed without issue. Only one car passing by at night and a one couple walking their dogs in the morning.

What a nice place!!! It's possible to park with a big rig. Very dusty but the river is warm and very beautiful. A lot of birds if you go a bit further. Lot of people came to bath on the end of the afternoon.

Awesome spot! Our favorite from the last six weeks! Could fit three truck campers or two bigger rigs. On the lake. Fire pit. No toilet. Mosquitos aren’t bad tonight. Little to no traffic. Love it!

Nice quick stop over on our way east. Was a rainy Canada day so no one was around. We were hoping for a fireworks display but it was understandable, given the weather. planning to check out the water and playground before heading out in the morning.

I was told that I couldn’t pay for just a shower. I would have to pay for a one-day pass and that was $20.
