As Argentinan we were allowed to stay 6 months in Costa Rica, but our car only 3. Could renew the TIP in here in an hour or so. Very competent custom oficer. Came here by bus from Tamarindo, it's 2000 colones each trip, about 3 hours long. Also free wifi in here.

Prices:
150 per person
100 per boat.
In the dry season you have to walk 15-20 mins to get to the boat.
They take you to Nzulezo with a guide who explains everything and shows you around.
We didn’t feel any „dispute“ as mentioned in the last comment from 4 years ago. It’s UNESCO world heritage and keep in mind that this became a burden for the villagers. Visit with respect, don’t take pictures of people.

We were not asked to pay more and nobody put any pressure on us to tip the guide. It’s just normal to tip someone who is doing a good job as our guide did.
There is a little „smoothie bar“ on the way back from the boat and the 2 girls running it will appreciate you having a cold drink at their place. You will need it as there’s no shade during the whole excursion.

They serve breakfast for 25 cedi per person, for dinner you go to the beach restaurant next door.

No police.
International driving licence is indeed a must, so why blame police when not bringing the right papers?

Like shopping in Europe. Very wide variety of goods, especially with products from the Netherlands/Belgium. Not cheap, but cheaper then the neighbouring Guyanas. Large parking in front suitable for larger vehicles.

slept peacefully for one night. Parked up by the road with little to no road noise, and no one bothered me. I'm pulling a trailer and had no problems. But I wouldn't recommend for anything bigger.

we left our car here for 2 weeks while we were away. close to the airport, safe residential area but parking at your own risk as its not official long-term parking place. al zeina and al rafah were also recommended by a local friend. no official places in the area, airport parking €25 per day.

Looks like a nice area in the summer, but in the winter, the actual parking lot was not plowed. They did have a large plowed dirt area outside of the parking lot. That was fine to park for the night. The vault toilets are also locked in the winter. I had very little service on T-Mobile and was able to receive a couple text messages, but not much more. Beautiful spot in the morning as the sun rises.

Over the past 6 months I’ve stayed at Mision Surf a few times. They let me hang my hammock for $150 pesos. I had a dorm room for $300 pesos. And I’ve recently volunteered in exchange for free accomodation. I had the waves to myself most days, and surfed with friendly locals other days. Pelicans of days, catching waves alongside you. The staff are hell cool, and the dogs that live there became my best mates. Stays include use of Outside fire BBQ and kitchen, campfire and free wood, pool, showers and power points. The hotel is not usually busy so you often have it to yourself. Best sunsets / sunrises I’ve seen in Chiapas.

one of the best spots that we've being here in Costa Rica, we felt really safe, we slept with our windows opened, safe enough to sleep in a tent! we could get water from the house next, it is a big grassy area with ocean view, we slept here 5 nights, there is a river, many coconuts, just come and enjoy this paradise!

Wonderful small camping area nestled in the orchards with only 10 spots, all right on the river. Beautiful views of the mountains.
There is one ambition block close to site 1. Each site has its own lockable toilet and shower in the block and there’s ice and wood to purchase (leave cash in the honesty box).
Lush green grass to camp on and lots of shade under the willow trees. Really lovely hosts, Frikie and Martelize.
