Nice area, but there is a sign at the neighborhood entrance that says parking by permit only. Vehicles in the area had BC plates / permits.
I took the risk for a few hours in the early morning and didn’t get a citation.
Parking is on a slope.

If you are under 20’ I suggest parking in lot 2 as the cost is half the price of the oversize lot (lot 3).
I arrived before sunrise and saw lots of campers, vans, and RV’s in lot 3. Some had their stairs down and foggy windows, clearly sleeping in their vehicle. There was a sign that said no sleeping in vehicle and police station across the street but maybe they don’t check on it after hours!

Great, cheap camping. Right on the river. BONUS: Walkable to downtown watering holes & eateries!

Even this late in the season, all but one or two spots filled up last night.

Beautiful falls and forest trails. Definitely worth a stop to stretch your legs. Dog friendly, must be on a leash but there were a lot of people that had their dogs off leash.
There are longer trails or you can go straight to the falls (about a 10 min walk one-way).
There is a short trail from the falls that goes along the fence that I highly suggest. It takes you back to the Black Tusk (volcano core) and it’s a gorgeous view.
Everything took about 30 min total.

Right on the corner of the panaderia. There’s a parking lot too you can park while you fill up for a while. It’s very slow but it’s free and I couldn’t find garrafones in the stores.

We are in a 27’ and got about 1/4 mile up the dirt portion of the road and pulled over as it was quite narrow and pitted. Rode the bicycle to scout. Would not recommend going to the trailhead at the top for larger rigs but found a parking pull out and a gated pull out about half way up perfect for us and they have better views.
I advise that if you are longer than 25’, scout it out to make sure you’re comfortable with the terrain.

Amazing! Best laundromat we’ve found in over two years on the road - clean, reasonably priced, machines work and dryers are great, not to mention very friendly!

It doesn’t hurt that the wifi is fast :)

In the off season (2nd Sunday after labor day) the metered parking isn't enforced at all. There's no signs saying you can't leave your car there overnight, and a few others had done the same. No difference if I'm inside it sleeping or not. This spot is in a residential area with two spots for parallel parking all the way at the end of the street. Beach access within 30 feet. Sipped coffee and watched the sun rise this morning. No toilets but you can find some nearby, 4 bars LTE, neighbors on morning jog didn't mind me, even said hello. Pets welcome but only allowed on Beach during certain times. If it's not off season, use at your own risk. I know it gets busy but I don't know if it's enforced. Enjoy my favorite spot in Dewey!

Good spot. Cows. A few rvs and ATVs around, but quiet. A little difficult to find a level spot. Good service. Definitely a good place.

Small wild camping next to Cox Lake. Saw two marked sites on the way in, at the loop by the lake it’s unmarked. Could fit One large flat site with a fire spot, someone has left an iron table with glass top (!) so presumably used by locals. More spots for camping but didn’t explore. Lots of mosquitoes, no surprise near the lake and standing water around the campsites. Lots of trash. No one else there on a Thursday night.
About 15 minutes from the exit off Hwy 22, last 5 miles is gravel road and the road down to the lake is quite steep - not recommended for trailers. Loop at the end was quite rutted and muddy - navigable with 2WD truck.

Excellent independent diesel mechanic with experience working on Sprinter vans and an interest in overland travel. Fast, friendly, fair, and knowledgable. Fixed up my Sprinter quickly. Came recommended to me in a Sprinter group and now I highly recommend.

Parking Security is definitely actively doing rounds and checking plates. I paid $3/hour for a spot along the Ocean on the ParkMobile app. There is a lot of traffic through this popular park!

Extremely busy on a Friday. Park ranger says October is their busiest season. No port a potty anymore. People on top of each other and running generators.

Stopped here today. Very nice rest stop. Great pet walk area. Clean restrooms. Potable water & dump station with flush. Potable water is in a spot where you'll have to fill jugs & walk them over to your camper to fill.

didn't have reservations and was able to stay 2 nights here in a tent spot. ranger said that they normally close the a/b loop October 1st, but the state decided to keep them open on a first come first serve basis until they get bad weather. paid $21 a night for a tent spot in loop a. showers are meh. water not hot enough for me, but you have no control over the temp. oh well, it's free and I'm clean.

SO many RV’s… at least a dozen had to park over in the mall lot because there were so many in this lot. Symphony of generators!!!!! Ya’ll need to invest in some solar panels & lithium batteries, eh?!
