dkruis27 | Located in a busy shopping center, but Walmart closes at 11pm currently. I called in advance and the only instructions were to stay away from the store front & park in the white lines. The other side of the parking lot has yellow lines, which are for other stores in the plaza. It was pretty loud with cars revving their engines most of the night but there were several RVs, so I felt safe. |

Wilde Weite Welt | Quiet bushcamp at Boteti River with many elefant and hippo tracks, but in the river we saw only cows and heard thousands of frogs in the night. Far away from the main road and local houses. Very weak Orange-signal. |

ericbiesel | I know that Love's can be a bit dicey for parking RVs and occasionally vans, but this one was fine. I checked in with the staff up front, and they said as long as we didn't cause trouble, we could park our van overnight. Clean, very well lit, and accessible. A lot of traffic noise, so it might be hard to fall asleep. A McDonald's and a Subway in the same building. $13 showers. Felt very safe. |

ericbiesel | Easy to find. Accessible parking, showers, and water. Several close and pretty hikes. $13 overnight; check in either by 7:00pm or use the icampmo.com website. Staff appeared to actively check sites for tags, so sneaking in probably is not an option lol. Would recommend. |

mkgbcatcher | Established and numbered free campsites. Good for vans and small pull behinds. This location is where the spots start to get good. Can find others 3 miles back towards highway. Nice level spots. Maple and alder valley bottom overlooked by firs and rock outcrops. Off your typical path, but worth it. Very quite in peak fall. Dirt bikes here. Road is ok, can make it in any vehicle. |

paulina.vilkkavaara | A free (!) campsite with porta potty, fire rings and non potable water. County park near a river. From my understanding it is open to enter between 6AM-10PM. Must call a number and let them know that you’ll be camping here. Number is listed by the entrance. It was just voicemail that said to leave name, number, car description and license plate. Quiet at night. There was only two other people staying here in their RVs. We spent the night in our rooftop tent. There’s space for probably 15 campsites or so. 7 day max Verizon 4 bars

But nice view to the mountains beside, quiet and in real nature. The entrance track a bit narrow through the bushes but a lot of space on the 3 signed campspots. Flat sandy area surrounded by bushes. In the riverbed traversing some Elephants.

parkerkr1 | wouldn't consider it safe. last three times I've spent the night here crazier homeless folk spent the night screaming at each other and anyone else. Got up at 4:30 hoping for a quiet exit so I could just go to work and when I crawled up into the driver seat one of them started screaming at me and waving a gun threatening if he ever saw me again he'd kill me. All I was doing was looking for a safe place to sleep... |
