Quiet parking lot behind Cracker Barrel. Not really much road noise and flat and level

Has free camping. We stayed literally to the right of the hot spring. Quiet night.

We met this company via agent Salim from Westom Logsistics LTD (Mombasa). A family run business, here you can load and lash your container or store a vehicle for import or export.
Best advice is not contact them directly but via Salim from Westom Logistics LTD, he arranges all the right paperwork.

Nice place, very quiet besides river sound, it's quite a distance through the tight forest.

Quite nosy from wild dogs and truck movement all night. But frendly staff and access to clean toilets 24/7 and ok restaurant. Nice place to leave to the port early morning.

I’d avoid here on the weekends. Maybe it’s more quiet on the weekdays, but this is now a local drinking/party spot. They went on until sunrise, surprisingly. That is sad because it’s breathtakingly beautiful

You can repair your tyres and do wheel balancing / alignment. Quick service!

Very nice garage. Skilled mechanics. Friendly and quick service. Very fair prices. I don’t recognize previous reports. I would highly recommended this place.

Well stocked supermarket near Fatima's backpackers

Hostel with some space in the backyard for 3 cars/small trucks for camping.
Rooms : R450
camping : asked first R150 pppn, but they dropped the price to 100 pppn. You can use the kitchen, toilet, shower, patio, etc. There is a tap for water in the yard, no electricity.
They washed our clothes for R100.
A lot of dogs around, so if you are afraid of the dogs, this is not your place to be.
The hostel is next to river, with nice views and a lot of birds.

Large flat area at the end of the path. Nice views of the surrounding mountains. Some shade available for smaller vehicles (for example VW T4). Quiet. On Friday very friendly locals came to Picknick. We spent a nice afternoon with them. A small source is available but most likely not drinkable. 50m below is a pool in which you can swim. It had water in November.

Nice place, big trees, pitches with lawn. Can be very windy.
Sea views from 80 % of sites, direct beach access.
Very expensive, 265 ppn, out of season.
Ablutions clean and everything well maintained.
In times with power outages no water, no shower possible.
2 swimming pools with fresh water, game hall with table tennis and billiards.
Dive charters on site.
We saw dolphins every day.

Due Covid our truck is still at Gerhards
and Sinies Place. We got a second Substitution bei the Customs, but this year it was necessary to bring the truck to the Customs.
Gerhard and Sinie brought it to them. Our truck run well after more than one year and the paperwork was done bei them without any problems.
Gerhard charges 800 r for that 1/2 day work, which is a fair price.
We are still happy to know our baby in good hands. We can recommend the storage place plus the maintenance (like starting the engine, filling the tyres) plus the work with the Carnet de Passage.
Now they even have a nice little campspot to stay if you want.

They are setting up an overland base and shop but it’s at the very early stages currently. In the meantime you are welcome to stay a few nights, fill up with water and get your clothes clean :)

Excellent campsite with pool and great view on the Okavango River.
Sometimes you can spot hippos (and hear) crocs in the river.
Spotless clean and modern ablutions.
Leon is planning also to open a snackbar (Hamburger, chips, etc.).
Also WiFi should be available latest early 2022.
Electricity on all places.
